Etsy has made some detrimental changes in the past few months. In the past 13 years that I have had a shop there, this is by far the worst year. . They are constantly "testing" store pages, have changed their advertising platforms to make sellers pay more for Etsy's google ads, rather then promote sellers listings. They have tweaked their algorithms into total clusterfuckery. . Keep this in mind if you are shopping on Etsy this season. I know my pages have been intermittently showing up blank. If you refresh a few times or come back after a few minutes it should be showing everything. . As always anything you see you can purchase directly from the studio as well. So I got my first bad review today. Let me explain this. I originally talked with this man on a separate account. I gave him his price for a size 3 little kids shoe in this other account. He did not explain or talk to me further on this other account. He just never responded. So I then moved on to my other orders. I in no way figured he'd go and make a guest account to order these shoes. He makes the guest account and orders a size 7 with no actual size note. I also explained to him that he needed to specifically put his custom shoe size in the notes of his order. As a seller I cannot assume that this guest account is the same as his actual account. They also had different names on the accounts furthering my thought that this is a different customer. Turns out he just used two separate accounts. Which he then tries to say that it's my fault I messed up his order when he used two different accounts and he didn't add in his size. I don't see how this is my fault when I told him specifically to add the size. I get so many orders I cannot be expected to remember what size you wanted on a key word 'different' account that I had no idea was yours as well. Shame on you seller for assuming. Then I tried to help him get the size he actually needed. He tells me he actually needs a kids youth 3, I offered an exchange but told him that kids size shoes are more expensive because it's a higher quality shoe. I have to use Vans for youth size shoes because they don't offer certain sizes in cheaper brands. So in turn he wants to yell at me and get upset because the shoe is expensive. I'm sorry they are but I have to make a living and actually make money on these shoes. Most of the money I make goes to shipping and buying the shoe and supplies. I don't make much on these items. So of course he wants a refund and decides to try and guilt trip me and blame me for his son not getting his gift. I'm sorry that you messed up your order and want to pass the blame. I hope you don't raise your son to be this vile of a person. So he's complaining about wanting his refund when I haven't received the shoes back.
