i'd be interested to know your inspirations for etta too. any characters in media or litterature that inspired you when writing her bio.

Etta is hard, because a lot of her character just came from my head. I think maybe Audrey Hepburn or even Jordan Baker from The Great Gatsby.

i have to question about etta. first would it be ok to change her gender, say if we wanted to play her as genderfluid or nonbinary? and second, i was wondering if you had any other fcs you could see working for her. zazie beetz comes to mind as an alternate. would she work?

Hi, excellent questions! Yes, no doubt about gender. I can certainly see her as non-binary or genderfluid, and of course any pronouns you feel resonate with her. Zazie is lovely, and I think could work for Etta! I am very attached to Zawe for her, though. Another option could be Tessa Thompson.Edit: Also: Zoe Kravitz!

When you say Etta is a 'bit of a fashion victim' - does that mean her style is weird or just that she's super into fashion?

You can interpret this however you like! I thought of it as she was so avant garde, so fashionable, that she appeared out of place by ordinary standards. That’s generally what a “fashion victim” means. But if you’d like her to be quirkier or more chic, that also works!
