I don't have a resolution because I think they're pretty much bullshit. No one sticks to them. My New Year's resolution is to not make a resolution.

I don't have a resolution because I think they're pretty much bullshit. No one sticks to them. My New Year's resolution is to not make a resolution.
New Years Resolution
This year, I won't smoke as much, drink as much, learn more and spend less time with dealers than lats year.
Now, cheers to that I just found about 3 gramms underneath the car seat! That must be a sign.
New Years Resolution
I'm incredibly bad in keeping my resolutions in my head and really change anything, but this year I'm going to make myself a pretty easy one. This year I'll visit my mom at least once in Europe. I already know when and I just have to book my plane, so this one is nearly already done.
Greg's Thoughts → Part 8
It's hard for me to make New Year's Resolutions, mainly because I'm not sure if I can keep them. But I know one thing for sure. I want to propose to Jenn by the end of the year. I've been with her for almost a year and even though we haven't moved in together or taken any giant steps, I want to be with her forever.
New Years Resolutions.
It's that time of year again, when we all make those resolutions which we hope to stick to for the next year. Your task is to voice your character's resolutions in which ever way you wish. This could be a starter, a para, a diary entry... How ever you wish. All you have to do is tag it under 'ettask' to make it count.
This task is to be done over the next week, posted by Monday, January 6th and tagged ettask. If you have not completed the task by then, you will be considered as inactive. This task is so you all have a chance to look more into your character and get to know them a little more, development is key in role playing after all. Please do this task to avoid being labelled inactive!
Burning Boat | task.
The Boat
The red light of the blunt in his fingers was the only light in the room. He had closed the curtains, so the light inside was so dim, he could only see figures. The event today was about setting something you regret in your past on fire, but Nathan had no idea how he could throw his whole life on that boat. He leaned his back on his bed and wondered about how long he already sat on the bare wooden floor. He regretted running away and leaving the third family he lived in, his first joint, all the drugs, the alcohol, his attitude towards things, the friendships he had, the things they did and that he didn't do anything against it, that he stopped trying to fit into his new foster families and that he didn't tried to stop the dealing when it started, but even helped them. And more resent, not being able to stop Emma and that he hadn't helped Maria more. He took another drag of the blunt and realized that he was crying just when a tear ran down his cheek. When he thought about it, the only thing he didn't regret was leaving his old life behind and breaking into Jenn's basement. And even here he was a useless cadger that's no good to anyone. Jenn was helping him all the time and he was still smoking weed in her house even if she didn't wanted him to. He couldn't stop Emma and he couldn't help Maria. And now he was just dragging Kimmy down with him. He put out the blunt and curled up sobbing next to his bed. A moment later his phone next to him started vibrating and he took a deep breath before checking it. It was Jenn telling him that they would leave in an hour. He decided to get ready and that noone would notice he cried. Like always.
The Boat
Jenn stood in front of the kitchen window, a cup of coffee in her hand. Today would be another event here in Halley Port. They would set a boat on fire and they were supposed to throw something on the boat that they felt guilty about, or they had regrets, or something like that. She was looking out and watched the snowflakes fall down to earth. She didn't really know what she would throw on that boat. She took a sip of her coffee and heard Nathan from upstairs. What would he put on that boat? Probably something related to Emma. She didn't know. Maybe she would just put a picture of her mam on that boat. She felt guilty about not seeing her more often. She should definitely go and visit her in summer. She always wanted to go to Europe.
