Pro’s and Con’s - Positives and Negatives for “Spell”

The word spell has been used in many ways throughout history, primarily used to form a word or sets of words to be used in sentences. Popular uses for the word can be the casual, “to spell; spelling, spelt” or used as a noun “to take a spell” as in to rest for awhile.

Throughout history the word spell has been used to imply maleficant powers, or to recite a form of incantation; Even including in modern times within certain religious circle, in this form it is almost always perceived as a negative word, holding some kind of mystical power.
