In 2009, we've campaigned for the European Politician, Nadya van Putten @nadyadotnl (our eminent source of example) of @groenlinks, now ten years after as adviser of the Dutch Caribbean community for D66's Samira Rafaela. She did it, history is made with Samira Rafaela now to be the first ambassador - europarlamentarian within the European Union with Dutch Caribbean descent. Her plans always drove attention, interest and a listening ear towards the islands of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius, and St. Martin. Now we have a true influencer, a voice, the new wave of empowerment has been set. For this specific reason and victory we should like to show gratitude towards other colleagues, Nina den Heyer Clark Abraham, Daisy Coffie, Serginho Finies, Rocco Tjon, Ana Maria Pauletta, and Giselle Mc William, politicians that supported her no matter their political color or party ideology.    If this is the way we drive politics, there will always be hope for the new and dynamic generation to do things differently. So, let’s show an example in encouraging on awareness and importance of European citizenship, our role as LGO (Oversea Country and Territory) and our chair-membership for the year 2019 in OCTA (Association of the Overseas Countries).
