Over Christmas 1:3 The Most Wonderful Christmas of the Year
This is it. Our finale. It's satisfying, but it definitely doesn't feel as long as the other episodes. I didn't look to see if the times were that different though. Basti (Luke Mockridge) is dealing with the news poorly. He has a pretty epic meltdown in front of the entire town and literally calls out everybody he loves. Most of them did deserve to be called out, but not in that fashion, and not Ingo (Eugen Bauder) or Karina (Seyneb Saleh). After everybody gets mad at Basti's public tantrum, he gets some advice from Oma Hilde (Carmen-Maja Antoni), which she appropriated from Dumbledore. I feel like I relate the most with her in this and she's like 80 so idk what that means for me.
Once Basti realizes he should maybe deal with things like an adult, he does. One by one, he talks to each person he humiliated, apologizes, and works to resolve the problems in that relationship. Not everybody **cough Karina cough** is ready to forgive him right away.
Although this felt fast to me, I don't think it was missing anything. I think it was just a lot happening that I was really invested in. I would have happily kept watching even though the story didn't need to keep going. So for this episode, overall I give it 4.75 stars. Unless you have a serious issue with subtitles, you need to watch this show!
