Yesterday we lost one more of the twelve (white, American) men who have walked on the Moon. In fact, Gene Cernan was the last man to walk on the Moon, in December 1972. 1972.

ضمن مقتنيات المتحف البيولوجي المصري فيه فاترينة زجاجية جواها صخرة محفوظة داخل كرة اكريليك وعلم مصر القديم ونص تحته بيقول "وضع علم بلادكم على القمر خلال رحلة أبوللو ١٧ التي استمرت من السابع حتى التاسع عشر من ديسمبر ١٩٧٢. هذه التحية مقدمة إلى شعب مصر من الشعب الأمريكي. إمضاء ريتشارد نيكسون ١٩٧٣." خلال رحلة أبوللو ١٧ للقمر ، وجه رواد الفضاء يوجين سيرنان وهاريسون شميت دعوة لإحلال السلام والتوافق بين بلاد العالم في خطاب اتذاع من القمر قبل ما ينهوا جولتهم القمرية ويرجعوا للأرض. اختار يوجين صخرة متوسطة الحجم نسبياً وقال "تتكون هذه الصخرة من قطع كثيرة جداً بأحجام وأشكال مختلفة وجدت ربما منذ ملايين السنين وتعايشت معاً في سلام. تلاحمت لتكوّن تلك الصخرة المتماسكة التي فاقت طبيعة الفضاء الممتد. عندما نعود بهذه الصخرة وصخور أخرى مثلها إلى الأرض سوف نشارك قطعاً منها مع كل بلاد العالم لتكون رمزاً لما نشعر به وما يكنه برنامج أبوللو الفضائي.. لتكون رمزاً للبشرية.. بأن في إمكاننا العيش في سلام وتناغم في المستقبل." بعد ٣ شهور من عودة رحلة أبوللو ١٧ تم تقسيم الصخرة إلى قطع صغيرة وتوزيعها عى روؤساء ١٣٥ دولة (وده كان نفس عدد الدول الأعضاء في منظمة الأمم المتحدة عام ١٩٧٣) ، الولايات الأمريكية جميعها وأقاليمها. وضعت كل صخرة في كرة من حمض الأكريليك وأرسلت إلى الدول المعنية مع العلم ، اللي تم وضعه على القمر ، وخطاب قصير من الرئيس الأمريكي ريتشارد نيكسون. أبوللو ١٧ هي الرحلة الأخيرة من أصل ٦ رحلات ناجحة قامت بيهم ناسا للقمر خلال ٣ سنوات من ١٩٦٩ حتى ١٩٧٢. المصدر: https://goo.gl/bs1BMX فيديو خطاب يوجين سيرنان من القمر: https://goo.gl/wLPLiY #goodwillmoonrock #apollo17 #nasa #space #themoon #worldpeace #eugenecernan #harrisonschmitt #moonlanding #egypt #egyptsmuseum #egyptiangeologicalmuseum #goodwill (at Egyptian Geological Museum)
