outofcharacter. listen, listen. clarke has such a way to show affection and anger and bitterness in her words always. now picture something that is burning ardendly and they say ' a fire in the woods is dangerous ' and she thinks i'll keep on burning because this is what i am. but then again, everyone gets burnt because of this fire. so picture a fire that just stops crackling; it's not the same fire, it just -- stops burning as ardently as it was before and you're left with a small fire, you can control a small fire, right? it's not dangerous anymore and no one can get burnt.

that is clarke to me. and i need them to keep this fire alive.
