Eun-Jae & Woo-Jin| Something Just Like This (2x02)
Anyone else find eun jae incredibly annoying as hell in season 2? Like my god her storyline S U C K S ..
Bok-joo is now a doctor y'all. She is now a fellow in the hospital where Doctor Jae-yi works. Just follow what your heart says. It's never too late to chase another dream of yours. 😉
Hello My Twenties 2!
(Sorry it took so long)
This was a wild ride so buckle in! It’s kind of long but AMAZING I SWEAR!
Recap of characters-
This is now Eun Jae:
This is still Ji Won:
This is still Jin Myung:
This is still Ye Eun:
NOW. Yi Na is still technically in this drama but only for one full episode and then has quick appearances in two episodes towards the end. Since Yi Na has moved out, Jo Eun moves in.
This is Jo Eun:
This season was CRAZY GOOD SO LETS CHECK UP ON OUR GIRLS UWU
Eun Jae:
Is substantially less shy and more open about voicing herself. Not a complete character change but a believable evolution. Still very sweet. Still very brave. That obliviousness is still there but in a different form: not knowing the signs of when to let go. Speaking of which:
Eun Jae and Jong Yeol have broken up (sad face) and what’s worse is there’s no identified reason
Majorly this season deals with how she handles her first heartbreak and her first break up and Boy Does She Go Through It.
Basically the five stages of grief but add obsession and desperation to the list.
She tries everything to get Jong Yeol back; appearing sexy, trying to make him jealous, etc. But none of it actually works.
The season ends with them still not together but she finally accepts this fact even though she’s still heartbroken
She is the first to develop a relationship with Jo Eun
She also steps up when a man breaks into Belle Epoqe and asks Ye Eun to tie everyone up(but she still has PTSD and this situation is terrifying to her) but she tells her it’s okay and does it instead(more on this event later)
Ji Won:
WHEN I SAY THIS SEASON IS ALL ABOUT JI MF WON I MEAN IT. Her hair is now cute and long and curly. Style STILL on point. Still nosy and outgoing and HILARIOUS. We’re being teased with Sung Min/Ji Won constantly.
Okay strap in hoes here we go. Ji Won is a mythomaniac remember? I said with good reason though.
So during season one she had this ringing in her ear
During a scene at a bar it’s revealed she’s still a virgin. One of her coworkers, not in a rapey vibe way, says he finds her attractive and wants to have sex with her
At first she’s excited but then she kind of goes blank and the ringing comes back and she faints. She says “pretty shoes”(also to be noted, Sung Min shoves the guy away from her and is in care mode INSTANTLY for Ji Won and I swooned)
Turns out Ji Won lost some childhood memories and goes on a Nancy Drew-esque adventure with Sung Min to recover them. Are you ready???
So Ji Won goes looking for a friend of hers from third grade. They discover her friend had a hard life. Her friend committed suicide due to this fact. The man she was living with thinks Ji Won ruined her life and holds all the girls captive to figure out who it is. Ji Won thinks she told a lie that ruined her friend’s life but can’t remember what happened.
Then while Apple picking with the girls, ji Won remembers. She didn’t lie. In third grade, while playing hide and seek, Ji Won witnesses her friend being raped by their art teacher. Her friend earlier had said Ji Won had “pretty shoes” and Ji Won never wore them again after that.
After this incident, the personality we all know as the current Ji Won developed. She became a mythomaniac after this event. She discovers clues that her friend went to go see the art teacher that raped her and wrote Ji Won‘s address down in order to invite her to come to an event to honor that teacher. Her friend had planned to have Ji Won with her when she confronted him.
SO BIG FINALE Ji Won attends the art teachers event, planned by students to HONOR THE SICK RAPIST, and calls him out in front of students and his family and decided to go to COURT FOR HER FRIEND. Every one pitches in to help her. Some other students EVEN STEP UP AND TELL THEIR STORIES AS WELL! All her friends at the school paper and her housemates put together statements for Ji Won. It’s magnificent and probably my absolute favorite plot of this season.
On a bad note THEY KEPT TEASING MY OTP BUT NEVER GAVE US THE PAY OFF AND IM MAD BECAUSE THIS SEASON WAS CHOCK FULL OF SUNG MIN/ JI WON MOMENTS.
Jin Myung:
My cinnamon roll was going though it this season. Still the mom of the group. Now has a great job. Her and her chef (UwU) are going strong even with a long distance relationship. IS LITERALLY SUICIDE WATCH FOR SO MANY PEOPLE THIS SEASON IT’S SURPRISING THEY DIDNT DRAIN THE LIFE OUT OF HER.
Okay Jin Myung now works at a entertainment company. Work is in close quarters with a lot of kpop groups (PENTAGON IS IN THIS SHOW AS THE GROUP ASGARD AND I FAINTED! Universe! UNITE)
Her and Heimdall(a member of Asgard but not Pentagon) develop a close platonic relationship I thoroughly enjoy. He is so confident in his ability to make it as a kpop idol while she is apart of the management team that has decided to disband the very group he’s in
They’re friendship develops in a weird way that helps them both. Heimdall helps Jin Myung discover what it’s like to believe in herself absolutely. Jin Myung helps Heimdall discover that his talent is not all that he is. He isn’t defined by the success or failure of a dream and his life doesn’t depend on either outcome.
Also on suicide watch for Jin Myung: Ye eun which as we discovered last season was kidnapped by her ex bf. She’s has severe PTSD
Also on suicide watch for Jin Myung: Ji Won who for a while was depressed because she couldn’t save her friend.
Also on suicide watch for Jin Myung: Eun Jae going through her completely devastating break up.
This boss bitch gets no breaks
Ye Eun:
This was a rough season for this sweet baby too. Complete character change. Her hair is now black and she uses it to hide her face. She wears all black clothes for a majority of the season. Cannot go anywhere without someone to walk her there and back. Is terrified of men.
So as mentioned, Ye Eun was kidnapped by her ex last season. She has severe PTSD now and can’t go anywhere alone
Very slowly regains her joyful and bubbly composure
She incorporates color back into her wardrobe and even goes back to school.
She starts receiving threatening texts and letters and they spiral her back into her paranoia and mistrust of other people
It’s discovered one of her friends had that weird syndrome where she purposely put Ye Eun in scary situations so that she would become dependent on her. Crazy, I know.
It really takes a toll on Ye Eun because people keep insinuating that what happened with her ex was her fault. People even say she wasn’t kidnapped but having sex with her bf the entire time she was missing. They say she must not be a nice person to have all these people do such horrible things to her and it is hard for her to overcome. (I was so proud of her for not giving up. I love her Sm)
But despite all this, Ye Eun meets a slightly OCD but very sweet guy named Kwan Ho-chang who is an engineering major and knows nothing about dating or love. She overcomes her fear of men with him. He helps her out of her shell. It’s really a sweet and pure relationship. He always calls her a nice person and tells her she’s pretty.
Jo Eun:
Now I know I said Ji Won was Nancy Drew, but Jo Eun might be THE Nancy Drew of this season. Very tall. ( if Lucas joined NCT Dream, she would be Lucas and the other housemates would be the rest of Dream) she takes a while to warm up to the girls but eventually develops a very good friendship with them all. Is a kpop fangirl. Love her even more for it.
Backstory: Jo Eun is in a bookstore one day and a book drops right in her path, in it is a threatening letter with the housemates’ address on it. SO SHE MOVES INTO BELLE EPOQUE JUST TO FIGURE OUT WHICH HOUSEMATE IS IN DANGER SO SHE CAN SAVE THEM.
And guess who wrote the letter. Ji Won’s friend. It was a letter about what she was going to do to the art teacher. Mind *blown*
At first she keeps her distance but as everyone warms us she really likes them and takes care of them. She gets medicine for Eun Jae when she’s sick. She walks Ye Eun home from the bus stop when the other housemates are busy because she knows Ye Eun is scared.
She then develops a romantic relationship with the landlords relative after she sees him butt naked. Yes it is quite satisfying. Especially because he’s shorter than her. But he makes her believe she’s pretty and makes her feel wanted without needing to change herself. (Cutest moment is after her bae is enlisted he shows a passenger next to him his lock screen and it’s a picture of him and Jo Eun and I-✨💓❤️💕✨)
Again I know it was a lot but I didn’t mention a lot of EXCELLENT content. PLEASE watch this show. It’s so worth it. The way their individual stories are woven together is truly beautiful and unique.
Bambi stretched across the silk sheets, a small whine escaping them as their body shifted in a way that was similar to a cat stretching on their perch. “JayJay,” they said as long fingers reached over to brush through the pink strands of hair that peaked out from beneath the blankets.
Bambi tended to be a bit less clingy than this, but they weren’t really feeling particularly interested in being alone these days. Jay was good company, just a bit dumb, sweet, and always up for laying with Bambi and boosting their ego. This was something that they desperately needed these days. And maybe they didn’t do enough for Jay in the friendship department. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to, it was that they weren’t really sure how to. They had spent so much time mentoring the small boy, constantly trying to steer them in the correct direction, that they hadn’t ever really taken the time to be much more than that. Jay of course, didn’t see it that way. They were fine with any attention that went their way, much like the small puppy that Bambi found themselves often equating the other to. Jay just assumed that this was friendship. But hadn’t Bambi bought the other clothes? Let him dye their hair? Sleep in their bed? Wasn’t that what friends did?
But… Jay had certainly been there enough for Bambi. Hell, they wouldn’t be in bed at this moment if not for the pink haired boy convincing them to come home after maybe doing just a bit too much cocaine for someone who had, at the time, been in the midst of one of their new past times: panic attacks.
These had been becoming more and more frequent lately. If a hand touched them too quickly, if they were unfamiliar with a place, if anything felt unsafe, Bambi felt the anxiety tightening tin their throat. It was suffocating, and they almost always succumbed to it. They had never in their lives felt this kind of stress before. Not since…
A breath.
“Jay, wake up. Come play.” Bambi mused, their body shifting just a bit closer to their friends as fingers brushed through the cotton candy toned strands. “I’m better now, promise.”

It was raining.
But it wasn’t normal rain. It was cold rain that sank through Wen’s black hoodie and made his skin ache. He swore it went deeper than that, though. He felt like it made each join rust over. He could hardly bring himself to move. He’d driven for a while, but then his head got too messy. It was raining too hard and he just… needed a minute. He hardly remembered where he’d parked his car, just a cryptic note in his phone that might have been a street number and the store it was in front of. How he got to this doorstep, though, he couldn’t tell you.
Wen had been struggling for a while. The bills kept coming and his mother was only getting worse—it seemed that their conversations were mostly just him leading and her pretending that she knew what was going on. She didn’t. he could see it in her eyes that she had no idea who he was, she was just going with it because she couldn’t remember any differently. It was even harder because she didn’t remember his transition. Her eyes always slid over him as she called for Wendolyn, never Wen. She was looking for her daughter. Maybe trying to remind her that she had soccer practice that afternoon. It seemed that the only times that his mother remembered Wen was when he was 14 years old, Just before he had come out to her. Just before he had come out to the world. He tried hard not to take it personally but there were days where there was nothing but fear each time she saw him because he was an unfamiliar man in her home. Wen understood.
But being understanding was hard. Wen spent so fucking long being understanding and being nice that he had forgotten what it was that he actually wanted anymore. It certainly wasn’t selling his body in whatever way he could to keep his mother close. It wasn’t being a side piece to Jay. It wasn’t being so tired because he couldn’t let himself think. It wasn’t any of this.
He knew he shouldn’t have come to Jay, but who else did he have? Who else would let him escape for just a moment while he tried to figure shit out? He couldn’t go back to his apartment where the bills had piled high on his kitchen counter. He couldn’t go to his moms where he could never seem to sit down without feeling guilty.
As tears burned his eyes and bleached strands stuck to his face, he knocked at the door. He shook hard in the cold, arms wrapped around himself as if to keep everything locked together firmly. There was almost a fear that if he didn’t that he would tumble apart completely.
He’d had maybe a few drinks before, he remembered that much but everything before coming to this front door was hazy, confusing, and scary. Wen just wanted to feel okay and somehow this seemed like the only place he could go to make that happen.
