Jiwoo (NMIXX) 1st Full Album Blue Valentine Valentine Version Concept Photos 2025
I'm sucker for portrayals of father-daughter relationships where your heart is absolutely broken and torn to pieces.
It's like oh my god look at this violent and anger filled man become a father figure (often unwillingly and despite himself) who ends up accepting that his love for his adopted daughter has changed him irrevocably.
Something about watching such a character surrendering to a love so pure as the one a father has for a daughter. This big scary and merciless man who cares about nothing and no one but himself and his goal meeting his undoing in this girl/woman whose only deed to achieve this was being her lovable self.
And this happens in romantic stories too. But it hits different with this type of love. This is a love that ask for nothing, not even reciprocity, it's not needed. It's not about blood, it's not about you came from my guts and I raised you and formed you. It's I found you, out in the world, just as you were and loved you for it, I asked nothing in return just to able to protect you.
And the thing is they never say "aaaw found family!". NOOOO, this guy's always deny it until their "certainly not adopted daughter just a kid I watch over" is in danger and they are like oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck and they realize they would doom the entire world for them.
AAAAAAAAAAH
No one dies from love Guess I'll be the first Will you remember us? Or are the memories too stained with blood now?
“Ji Woo, if this is hard for you, I’ll come to you.”
Real talk, this is hands down my favorite line of 2021.
Because most of the time words are hard. Because leaping and trusting another person to catch us is almost unbearable.
Seo Joon with all delicate care reaches out and tells Ji Woo it’s ok. It’s ok to be scared. It’s ok to not be able to say it out loud. Just because Ji Woo can’t say it out loud doesn’t mean Seo Joon doesn’t understand him.
He takes that tightly clenched fist and it slowly relaxes in his hand.
Under attention, understanding and patience Ji Woo relaxes into the smiley, teasing puppy we see in the last moments of the series…safe and content, wanting to play with his hyung.

Watching to my star 2 is just me pointing at the screen any time Jiwoo is talking to Seojoon and telling him not to be mean. And then he's says something mean anyway. And then has the audacity to look sad about it once Seojoon isn't looking at him anymore.
