chaerin doesn’t hate it here, per se.
everything’s just a little awkward. she agreed relcultantly because she still had a project to finish, but her fans claimed that she needed to get out more often. something about not wasting her beauty and youth stuck in the design room all day. it’s how she ends up at this hongdae club, her eyes blinking rapidly at how fast the lights seem to change here. and that’s only part of it. the music is booming in her ears, and she thinks her ear drums may pop because of how loud it is.
her friends have gone off to do what people probably do at clubs: dance. they tried their best to drag chaerin out onto the dance floor as well, but she gave them a smile of rejection, telling them that she’ll look out for their drinks instead. it’s how she ends up being the only one at what she thinks is a couch, watching the crowd instead. they all seem let themselves loose on the dance floor, and she wonders how they do it. chaerin would find it a little too embarrassing, thus why she continues to stay seated at the club.
there’s probably someone out there who thinks she’s a complete loser, and they wouldn’t be half wrong. she’d simply claim that she’s a voluntary loser. clubbing was never her thing, just something she said yes to get her friends off her back. but hey, it couldn’t be too bad, right?
