stevie hums, nodding his head as he listens to seira. that makes sense-- and stevie knows that dancing is a huge part of idol-dom. it's why he's actively here, and why it's something stevie would probably admit he's passionate about. "being an idol isn't all about dancing, though. you have a lot of other things you're good at! plus, dancing takes time and can always be improved." stevie rocks on his heels. he wants to say something along the lines of you do deserve it! but stevie knows hearing it isn't really believing it. "i believe in you! one day you will, i'm sure of it." "yeah!" stevie nods his head. "if i like something, i really stick with it! i start things all the time and then just...stop. or get bored." it's a testament to how much he likes something if he keeps up with it. if stevie puts time and genuine effort into it than giving it a try once and then abandoning it. "sometimes i think rap is harder than dance." stevie comments, scratching his head. "i feel like anything with like...vocal stuff is a lot harder than getting your legs to cooperate, y'know?" his shoulders shrug. "next time we should practice rap together. maybe we'll make some crazy?"
“yeah i suppose there’s a lot else to being an idol than just being a good dancer” she nods her head. “hey, i might not be the best dancer, but i’ve improved a lot on my rapping! and i’m slowly becoming better at live performing” she continues nodding her head. “being an idol is more than just dancing, which is comforting but scaring at the same time… there’s so much to being an idol, you gotta dance, have stage presence, be able to perform live, know how to model, being an idol almost feels like multiple jobs pressed down to one job”.
“i think dancing is harder than rap… but i suppose it’s different for everyone?”. “out of it all though, i think learning to sing is the hardest… it feels like you either have to be born with the talent or practice like hell, i truly find it easier to learn how to dance and rap than i find it to sing… i kind of really hope studio delta never forces me to learn how to sing, it’s just so… hard and difficult”.
“hey! maybe i could give you some advice if we practice rapping together, not that i’m the best rapper, but… maybe it’d help me too” she nods her head “though, as far as i’m aware, you’re already kind of good at rapping…?”.
stevie grins, giving a little whoop of congratulations. "that's awesome, seira! hey, that's progress to me! all it takes is a little bit of time and hardwork, and you'll be like...a crazy all rounder or something. i believe in you!"
"oof." stevie resists the urge to grimace at the idea of everything they're expected to do as an idol. stevie knew it was a whole book full sort of things, but hearing it displayed like that...damn. and he's sure that's not even scraping the surface, probably. "one step at a time! hah..."
the surfer blinks at that. "i mean...i guess it kind of is?" stevie's brows furrow as he thinks about it; stevie thinks that dancing sticks much better with him than trying to attempt to control his breathing while singing or holding a tune. "everyone's got their own talent that comes more naturally to them. doesn't mean it's impossible though! and hey, i'm sure your voice could do well with like, lower range stuff." stevie doesn't know a damn thing about vocals and what it means technically, but oh well.
"we can give each other pointers." stevie grins. "eh? me? i'm okay." he holds up his hand and gives a so-so motion. "i'm not like, great or anything. i think my singing is about on par with it." a snort escapes him, shaking his head. "but i'll take any help i can get! even a different view point would probably help me out a bit, i think. doesn't hurt to try!"
your idol.
< w. @beseojun >
it feels like time passes so fast when you're just...existing. going through routines-- wake up, get to training, spend the day doing whatever the company has set, and then going home to sleep and restarting the day over. stevie really has to make his days, so that they stick out from the usual unexciting moments.
like for example-- stevie finally getting a chance to hang out with seojun in a very long time. the debut and subsequent promotions after have left the older busy. stevie's grateful seojun could squeeze some time in for him.
"so..." stevie trails off, grining wide at seojun as they lean over a hot, steaming plate of food. as the surfer gathers himself his own plate, he follows up with. "how's it feel, bigshot? you like it? everything you ever dreamed of?"
bexstevie
"definitely! i think any job you have to deal with people consistently will bring that..." you really never know what you're going to get working in the service industry. you get mean people, you get nice people, you get weird people. it's all a gamble. "sometimes it's kind of fun. like what are you going to get today? and then other times it just like, sucks." he leans down to take a sip of his drink frowning as he thinks back to some random memories in short time being a barista. "mm. you could always try something else? could switch to a restaurant instead! maybe the vibes would be a little different?" stevie cocks his head to the side. "it's like, kind of the same, no?" "heeey, don't be too harsh on yourself! you're not terrible." stevie frowns, giving his best glare. he was on next gen too, and he knows seira isn't as bad of a dancer as she claims to be. "and when you've got me to practice with, you'll get even better! trust!" "i always thought languages were kinda cool. it is cool when other people explain it, even if it takes me too long to figure out what they mean." stevie cracks a little grin, sheepish as he scratches his cheek. "if you like, could learn a new language, what would it be? ignoring the fact it'd take time and all that. like bam! snap your fingers and you know?"
“i suppose how i’m feeling affects how i react” she shrugs “like when people ask for bizarre orders while we’re not busy, i’m like yeah sure, but when it’s busy i always say in my head ‘please just order something normal”. “sometimes it’s fun to have the weird customers, sometimes it’s not”. “oh? that’s not that bad of an idea actually… maybe i should try something new? not really sure what i’m good at, do you think being a waitress is a hard job? maybe a supermarket? eh… that doesn’t really feel like me” she pouts “i’ll think about and just stay a barista for now”.
“compared to an average person i’m probably a fine dancer, but compared to other trainees at studio delta, i really aren't that good of a dancer…”. “it does bother me a bit that i’m not very good, but like, everyone started somewhere before they got to where they are now, right?”. a chuckle escapes her lips “yeah! i’ll become a great dancer soon with your help”.
“ideally i’d snap my fingers and be fluent in korean, but if i had to choose another language it’d be mandarin” she nods her head “it’s a pretty language, and i think as an idol it wouldn’t be completely stupid learning chinese”. “what about you? if you could learn a language like bam! what would you choose?”.
"i think any service job can be hard. you never know what you're going to get with customers no matter where you go." stevie's eyes flicker up to the ceiling in thought, lips jutting out into a pout absentmindedly. "supermarket probably wouldn't be hard. might get boring. and around holidays? that's probably pure nightmare fuel. but probably something to consider!"
"you have time!" stevie assures, waving a hand around. "it's not like they're going to debut you tomorrow, or something. you've got time to get into your own rhythm, and sooo many resources on hand. i believe in you!" stevie grins at the other girl, shooting her a thumbs up. "and if you've got me helping from the sidelines? c'mon! everybody better watch out for you in the future!"
"ooh. mandarin is cool." stevie lets out an interested noise, nodding his head before considering his own answer. "french, maybe?" stevie tilts his head. "i took a french class in high school and i think with enough time, i could probably learn it. maybe."
eunbin was aware that not everybody could become an idol. it genuinely was a full-time job, and those thoughts only became more solidified as she became a trainee. they really were taught almost everything.
"but the best dancers aren't always considered the best performers, right? i feel like i see fans arguing about this online a lot," she comments with a chuckle. eunbin wasn't invested in what fans of members had to say, but it was hard to miss such arguments when they were practically everywhere.
that's why she was so intrigued by this workshop. just what could they learn that would increase their stage presence? don't most people get drawn into whoever they find the most attractive? "facial expressions definitely seem important. i've also seen people talk about some idols who go overboard on those, and the comments weren't pretty." with that she shakes her head.
stevie thinks about it. "not always, but i think it'd be easier to stand out that way. you're constantly moving around, and people are always watching. sometimes when people are singing, the people who aren't stand out more. but i guess that could be a visual thing, too..." stevie babbles his thought process, leaning back in his seat with his arms crossed. "huh. i dunno. i only look at maybe the first two comments on a fancam and move on."
"i think it's probably better to overdo it than...underdo it, no? i think i'd rather be criticized for trying too hard than not trying at all. even if like, i know i am trying? am i making any sense?" stevie scratches his head. he's never been a good conversationalist when it comes to thinking about things logitistically and thoughtfully. "it's probably like...eye contact with the camera too. like immersing the audience and stuff? people like those eye contact version videos a lot."
bexstevie
stevie hums at the information seira reveals, nodding his head. truthfully, outside of the few times he's messed around with a keyboard while joomi's been around, stevie hasn't practiced a lick of piano. instruments and learning the intricacies to it has never been something stevie was interested in. he's always had tough luck with it, and no patience or motivation to continue. "two years is still a long time to learn stuff." stevie points out, smiling widely as his feet kick on the stool chilidishly. "more than i know for sure. i've like tapped the keys before, but i...don't have a sense of what, rhythm? i dunno." the blonde scratches his head sheepishly. answering the urge that's been pulling at him, he reaches out to press a random key on the keyboard, before darting is hand away when it does make an audible noise. "like. no idea what i just hit." stevie laughs, the tips of his ears turning red in a little bit of embarrassment. he probably should know something, knowing eunae and joomi, but stevie just never cared about piano or instruments in general before. not when he could surf or skate! "i'm a clean slate! what helped you get the hang of it when you first started learning?"
seira is still confused about how she learned to play the piano. she bought the piano to give song-writing and composing a chance, but she didn’t have anyone to learn her how to play. in the end she’d had to teach herself, practicing for hours and sometimes using youtube as a help. she still definitely wasn’t the best piano player, but when you think about how she’s learned it all herself, she does smile at the thought, gets proud of herself. “i play every day basically, so i guess i’ve played a lot” she shrugs “but with work and trainee life now, i don’t get to practice as much anymore” she pouts. “eh, i sucked in the beginning too” she shrugs “you’ll figure it out! if i can learn it, and i’m kind of stupid, then you can too” she smiles to stevie.
“i think that was a g note… think… yeah, yeah it was” she leans a bit back “honestly… i still struggle with reading notes or whatever you call it” she shrugs. “i find it easier to watch youtube tutorials where they show you which key to hit”. “ah, but well, i started off by learning children songs, they’re usually easier, at least for me”. “do you have a children song out there you like?” she looks at stevie, a small smile sitting on her lips.
"better than me!" stevie chirps, unconcerned and still ready to learn, none the less. "and that's a loooooot more than me, wow." and now she's at studio delta, which likely means there will be more instrument playing coming her way. by the time she debuts, stevie's sure seira will be a piano god. "aw, me too! we can be stupid twins." the surfer grins. "even if we take it baby steps at a time, we'll still improve. that's the way i see it!"
"g note? okay. so is it like..." stevie eyes the keys on the board, facial features pinched as his brain scrambles for what he means. he taps the black key raised above the previous one he just tapped. "does this make it...flat? or sharp? should i just wing it and go?" he tilts his head at the sheet music in front of him, then glances back at the keys, then back up. "it just looks like madman scribblings to me. a youtube tutorial doesn't sound too bad..."
stevie digs out his phone, perking up a bit at the mention of children songs. "oh! that sounds like a fun idea." stevie could get down to that idea. as he opens up his phone for a tutorial, he glances over at seira to answer. "spongebob is the first to come to mind, i'm not gonna lie to you." he admits with a laugh.
better dayz.
< w. @bexjae >
stevie's a summer baby. he thrives once the weather turns sweltering, wanting to soak up all the sun he can. at least the heat reminds him of home, and stevie's already wishing for a vacation so he can go surf to his heart's content. he won't get one anytime soon, he doesn't think-- but maybe he can convince someone to drive to the beach for a day so he can get his fix in. he makes a mental note to bother jindallae about it later.
now though, he kicks his feet happily-- taking his day off to hang out with jae outside of training. stevie's got his favorite summer drink, a mix of lemonade and juice that's going to give him a sugar high for the next few hours. "it's such a nice day out, today." stevie comments, taking a sip of his drink as he looks out the window. "it's nice not to be trapped at the companies. it sucks we don't get like, a summer vacation or something." with how much sometimes it feels like school, stevie wishes they'd get a little vacation every now and then. at least more frequently. "do you have a favorite season?" stevie asks the other, blinking at jae curiously.

stevie hums, thinking about it. "i think they're pretty strong. the little suction cups have their own weight limit-- and some octopi have like, hundreds on them. like...one suction pad on the giant pacific octopus can do like, thirty something pounds? and they have like, i think a thousand of them? i'm bad at math but that's gotta be like, thousands of pounds of strength in that thing." stevie whistles, shaking his head. "if you had them? i think you could definitely crawl on the walls! climb the biggest tree...could lift someone else up, too, probably!" "who knows? we don't even know if like, they're real or just myths. sometmes there's truth behind that sort of stuff though. especially with how much is left unexplored." stevie rambles, rocking on his heels. "soooo many. we're still learning new ones. i think a new spider species got introduced? and marine ones get introduced i swear every year, maybe every few months? it's so insane it's stupid, man." stevie rakes a hand through his hair. it's so much to learn, so many cool things the world has to offer. a bright laugh leaves him at ria's reaction. "i mean...they're a little ugly, but that's just how they look!" stevie shrugs. at the comment about her brother, stevie sputters out a laugh, hand shooting over his mouth to cover it. "aw, that wasn't very nice." he scolds, but the smile pulling at his mouth defeats any firmness in it. "uh..." stevie blinks. "it's like...a nerve system? they're like, one of the earliest creatures to evolve or something. i'm not sure how like, all of it really works, but our brain connects to our nerves, right? but jellyfish just have the nerves in like...a big net or something, and it works fine with them. they don't really do much, honestly. they're passive." stevie shrugs.
ria stares at stevie for a while like she doesn’t get a word he’s saying (because she doesn’t get a word he’s saying), until the final line where he answers her question with words she can understand. “tentacles are kind of ugly, so i probably wouldn’t trade my arms for them, but it would be pretty cool to crawl on walls and such”. “i’d be kind of like spiderman? but instead of shooting web i’d be shooting ink” she nods a bit “i don’t know what i’d do with some ink superpower though…”. she turns to look at stevie “if you could have any superpower, what would you pick?”.
“i’m curious if or how many myths are real, like does bigfoot and the loch ness exist? i suppose there’s no way of knowing if they’re real or not until we find out they’re real? as long as we don’t know, we won’t know” she shrugs. “if mermaids exist though, i hope they’re nice and pretty and not some human-eating monster…”. “eh? they discover new animals every year? makes me curious how many animals we still haven’t found, maybe it’s in the thousands? or could it be even more?”.
“i feel bad for them… they’re just existing and get called ugly” she pouts “they are ugly though, nothing we can do about that” she shrugs. “eh, he’s not here to hear my insulting so it’s fine”. “i’ll pretend i understood what you just said” she bites her lip “how is there so much knowledge in that head of yours? i can’t keep up with everything you’re saying”.
"you could have them come out of like, your back or something. you don't have to replace your arms for them! kinda like how stitch has all those extra arms, kinda." stevie giggles as he recalls, the conversation silly and dumb but he's having fun. "a superpower? huh. probably to breathe underwater. can that be one? or like...to never get hurt? super healing? wow. there's so many options..."
"i totally believe nessie." stevie says, voice firm in his belief. "i could be convinced bigfoot is real. honestly, with enough evidence and voices in my ears, you could convince me of anything." stevie jokes. "yeah! they're like, subspecies and stuff most of the time, but still new." he takes a moment to stop and breathe, before continuing on. "there's bound to be thousands more, right? if we've only discovered like a part of our planet, but not everything and we still have so many-- can you imagine how many more?"
stevie blinks, before letting out a loud laugh. "i just like the ocean, honestly? and the stuff just like, sticks. i dunno." he taps the side of his head. he can't help but snort though at ria's response, breaking out into a laugh as he takes a step away from the glass. "okay, fair enough! they're just really cool, okay?" the blonde suffices, shaking his head. "you wanna go to the next thing? mammals should be up ahead."
i think i need to go sit by the ocean and let it consume me
joomi has a hard time saying no to stevie. he has a hard time saying no to any puppy-dog eyes, really, especially when they're requesting something harmless. it's the same whenever eunbin asks him to join her for a workshop, apparently.
he just chuckles and passes stevie his notebook. he doesn't mind sharing, though he's not sure how much stevie will actually learn from studying joomi's work instead of writing down his own.
"one," joomi teases him, though to be fair, joomi doesn't have any of the track list orders of their seniors' albums memorized. he never thought any of that was as important as remembering the melodies and chord progressions, or how to translate the songs to the piano or guitar.
he holds his hand out for stevie's notebook regardless, if only because he's curious. he suspects stevie's notes will give him a good laugh, if nothing else. maybe he can offer some help if there are any areas he seems confused about in his notes – if they're even that substantial.
a pfft leaves stevie's mouth, resisting the urge to pout as he greedily takes in the older's notes. stevie's too lazy to actually copy over everything though, so he just jots down the stuff he would never be able to remember on his own. "okay. i could probably do like two. i can name a bunch of songs though! maybe just not...from the same album." stevie rambles off. "man, you take such good notes. i bet you were a good student." stevie hums, taking a moment to glance over at his own notes. which include --
a list of every group under axis labels ; a smiley face plastered next to specific groups to indicate which ones he enjoys
random dates but no actual text to depict what they belong to
a lazy doodle of the zzz emoji
a list of genres in a horizontal row with arrows pointing at the one next to it and so on
marketing?????
more question marks and unintelligble scribbles
stevie feels albeit a little embarrassed handing over his notebook tp joomi, sliding over joomi's notes with a shy grin. "thanks-- they're not yours, but hey, i can understand them. i can translate from uh...stevie language if you need it too." everyone takes notes in their own way-- the surfer can't help he can't scribble down all that information in a fast manner. he'd rather listen-- even though stevie can't really retain all of it on ears alone. damn. maybe he's just cooked in the studying department. school was never his shtick anyway.
"did you follow idols like, at all?" stevie asks out of curiousity, propping his chin on his palm and blinking at the other. "i know the band scene is more your vibe, but did you like, i dunno. have one that stood out to you?"
mr. brightside
< w. @beseonghan >
stevie's always been a friendly guy. in school, he had plenty of friends, sometimes too many to count-- all varying types. from surface level ones to ones he feels he can tell every single thought in his head to. he's a people person, has an innate love to converse and meet new people. strangers have never been nerve wracking to him, and often times, stevie will find himself striking up a conversation with anyone in his vicinity. all under the basis of-- what's the worst that can happen? they call him weird and brush him off? oh well! not everyone gets along. the most he can do is try?
at least stevie has somewhat of a reason for approaching this time. the cafeteria ends up messing up his order-- giving him a coffee instead of a tea, and stevie's too nice and also too uncaring to throw a fuss over it. he just gets back in line and orders a tea again, but he's hit with the dilemma of now having two drinks. one of which being coffee, which stevie would feel bad if he just threw away. he's not going to drink it, so stevie elects to be a coffee angel and just...give it to someone. most people like coffee, and most trainees drink it due to their busy and bustling schedules.
the trainee stevie sets it in front of is familiar in the sense he's seen him before-- likely in passing, but not enough that stevie could guess a name, or even which company. but he smiles bright none the less. "hello! do you like coffee?" he holds up his left hand with the cup. "they mixed up my order, but i'm not that big on coffee, heh. it's uh--" his brows furrow as he tries to recall what they said it was. he can't so he ends up twisting the cup so he can read the taped receipt on it. "...a flat white. whatever that means?"
bexstevie
"crop tops are cool! what's wrong with a little stomach poking out?" stevie glances down at himself, mentally envisioning that on him. dragging his eyes back up to noel, he tilts his head to the side. "i don't think so! there's different types of lengths of cropped, aren't there?" stevie scratches his head. maybe he's not the best person to be saying it-- stevie's never been that big of a fashion expert, but he does like what he's seen with cropped styles. "keep you cool, too. definitely." "when you get some time, let me know! we'll get out there and really enjoy it." stevie doesn't know when that'll happen-- the companies and their schedules often making things harder than needed. "we'll put a pin in it. make it a goal or something for us one day." "started with a skim board when i was like, seven or eight? and then finally graduated to surfing when i hit ten." thinking back, stevie remembers how exciting it was to learn, and to be trusted with learning it. while his mom hadn't been pleased with it, his dad had been ecstatic. "i grew up right on the beach, so it was like-- meant to be or something. did you learn how to ice skate back where you grew up?" "very cool!" stevie bobs his head up and down, taking a careful look down at his own skates to ensure he's still safe. he snorts at the idea that he could do that-- but pauses to think about it as he steers himself to the left slightly so he doesn't hightail it towards the wall. "i dunno...it took me so long to learn how to just skate...might take me a long while to do all that." it'd be kind of cool, though. he's seen some crazy flips in videos and the like. "guess you could always teach me!"
“eh, maybe you’re right, who cares if i wear a crop top” he shrugs “and it would probably look fine on me, i don’t mind showing a little stomach”. getting crop tops would mean noel would be forced to go out and buy new clothes, and noel buys clothes about one time a year, he’s not a big shopper (unless buying his sister a bunch of clothes counts as ‘shopping’), maybe shopping would be more enjoyable if he brought a friend along? “do you think they make crop-tops for men, or would i be forced to look in the women’s session?”. “then again, who cares if i shop in the women’s section, clothes is clothes”.
“woah, you began from an early age” noel gives a strong nod. “it’s nice having something in your life you’ve always loved” he shrugs. “but yeah, i’ve been doing ice skating since i lived in canada, was never able to drag my sister along though, so i mainly ice skated alone, here and there some friends would join me”. “i used to do it all year, now i basically only ice skate during the winter, every time december hits i fear i’ve forgotten how to ice skate, never happens though”.
“i suppose it can take some time, i’m only good because i’ve done it for so long” he runs a hand through his hair. “but yeah, if you ever need practice, i’d love to help you learn some stuff, in return, you can help me learn how to surf”.
"let's goooo! crop top summer for noel~" stevie sings, a happy laugh bubbling out of him. "i feel like it's been like, trending in styles for men, no? like the muscle tees and the cheeky stomach." he pats his own for gesture, head tilting. "there's bound to be a couple around-- but taking a peek in the women's department wouldn't hurt if we can't find anything." stevie shrugs. clothes are clothes to him-- and as long as it fits, nothing else really matters. "who's gonna stop us?"
"it helped that the beach was in my backyard. why play in the grass when i can play in the sand, yknow?" stevie grins. "hey, that's nice though? you've got like, your own tradition home away from home. that's cool! and it keeps up your skill at it! you never forget it, obviously." stevie nods towards noel moving on the ice now.
blinking at the offer, his surprised expression doesn't last long, replaced by a happy beam of a grin. stevie nods his head eagerly. "sure! equivalent exchange~ sharing the wealth of knowledge. i'll definitely hit you up! maybe you can take me through an ice skating bootcamp next year or something." stevie jokes, flashing his teeth. "and one summer i'll get you to go to the beach with me. i'll make a surfer out of you, just trust!"
eunbin recalls how much her mother wanted her to excel in the piano, but she was never the child who could sit still and play the keys. "i think my mom dreamed of dressing me in those pretty frilly dresses and showing up to my recitals, but i didn't let her dreams come true," she comments with a soft laugh.
"how do you even play the kazoo? like i don't think i've ever seen someone play it for more than a second." to her, a kazoo was one of those instruments that kids liked to pick up in the middle of music class so they didn't have to play anything else. it never crossed her mind to learn how to play it, so it was interesting to see stevie's mind jump to the kazoo out of all the instruments in the world. "i'll be sitting front and center in the front row when you do get that kazoo solo."
as she mentioned, if she really had to learn an instrument, she'd like to play the drums. drummers in bands always looked the coolest in her eyes. "yeah, i'm sure it'll hurt my arms, but i feel like that's the case with most instruments anyway. might as well have fun banging on the drums if my arms are going to hurt, right?" she was half-joking, but it still sounded like a lot of fun. "oh, what about the harp? i mean i don't think i can stay still for that either, but it's always looked so cool."
"that could be a good gift to give her one day." stevie hums, grinning at the thought. "learning a song and playing it for her-- dress up and everything. like hey mom! it took a while but look at me now! i think that'd be pretty nice."
stevie lets out a long uuuuuhhhhhhh, thinking about it. "there's kind of a technique. like breath control, and controlling the like...buzz to it? it's with the thingy on the top. i can't remember what it's called-- but trust! there's a process." he rushes out in assurance. stevie will be learning how to play something on the kazoo by the end of the year. he's sure of it. "aw, thanks! you'll be shell-shocked. i promise."
stevie blinks, considering. "...yeah, i guess they all kind of hurt after a while. i cut my finger once when a guitar string snapped." that's not really that related, but it was the first connecting point in stevie's mind. that counts, yeah? "ooh. a harp? that would be pretty cool....like the real biiig ones, right?" he makes a grand gesture with his hands. "the one where you have to sit and stuff-- the real whimsical fairies in the forest playing it kind of ones. that'd be pretty sick, not gonna lie..."

"i didn't know you could learn how to stand out on stage."
eunbin knew the importance of stage presence when it came to idols because even she had to admit that there were always members who stood out more to her when a group performed. however, she always assumed that it mostly just had to do with natural charisma. that's how it was back with her cheer squad. you couldn't exactly tutor someone on how to catch people's eyes, could you?
well, it seems like she was about to be proven wrong with this workshop. more than anything, eunbin was curious about what they would learn. what went into building a star who shined on stage?
"what do you think they'll teach us? our best angles? or like how to put in energy throughout the performance?" out of the many workshops she's taken during her time as a trainee, this had to be the one where eunbin was absolutely clueless on what it would consist.
"to be honest, i didn't either." stevie admits with a little giggle, scratching his cheek. "there's a lot of things i'm learning they actually try to teach you. stage presence, selfies, yadda yadda yadda..." he props his head on his arm, a thoughtful look on his face.
truthfully, he still doesn't...know how they're going to be taught that. presence is something that feels like it has to come naturally, no? "maybe energy through the performance? like...i can kinda get it for dancing, at least. if people are better dancers than you, naturally they stand out more, yeah?"
he pushes to sit himself up straight again. "i'm thinking facial expression control, too? i dunno man. it feels like this stuff should just...come to you. like why force it? you can like, over perform too, y'know?" there's been cases and articles of idols saying they do too much-- over dance, over sing, over act. "like...what's a good balance?"
