Yes, I know I haven’t properly been here in forever, but! Here are, in case anyone’s still around to see, some Eurhyi characters in some picrews. In order: Matissa, Sagrei, Deianna and Aella.

So I didn’t do very well at NaNo this year! As in... I thought I was gonna start a whole new project and I actually ended up taking a break from writing all of November! And that’s okay!! Can’t wait to go back to figuring out Eurhyi stuff and hopefully sharing some of it on here sooner than later, if anyone who’s active still follows me hkjjskhs

Introducing Eurhyi IV: Deianna

Deianna was meant to be the queen, but not for many, many years. 

She wasn’t meant to lose her parents on the day of her 20th name day, at the hands of old believers that, supposedly, had stopped being a threat. She was meant to live in palace, safe and warm, and keep the peace her father and her grandmother had established in Narbora a long time ago. Her father was meant to teach her all the things he’d been elusive about teaching her, and her mother was meant to understand that Deianna was her daughter and not her son and be happy for her at last, and Deianna was meant to be the queen, but not yet, and not by fighting for her right to the throne, now taken by people who think it’s acceptable to kill innocents in the name of a god. 

How can she demand the throne that’s hers, now that she’s away from everything that was home?

Hi! I was just wondering, how do you pronounce Eurhyi? I am intrigued by the story but can't figure out how to pronounce its title 😂

Hi!! This is an excellent question that I’ve gotten a lot hah. The H is silent; it’s pronounced Eur-yee. Kind of. But I also don’t mind how you pronounce it! I understand how weird a word it is! It was initially going to be the name of my main kingdom, but I changed it (to Narbora) because of how difficult it was... Now it’s a name given to the entirety of the world(/planet?) the story takes place in (given by... who?? It’s a surprise).
