St. Barbara's Church, Kutna Hora ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ History⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This church is a UNESCO world heritage site and the patron saint (St. Barbara) is dedicated to miners as Kutna Hora in its heyday was highly prosperous due to its silver mines⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was actually envisioned as a cathedral and was to be much bigger than what it is now. Unfortunately, Kutna Hora's silver ran out, they never got a bishop and the structure size was also reduced from the initial plans⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Photo⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Taken from the front of the church and I rather thought that the gothic architecture set against the empty surroundings highlighted well the church's vastness and imposing frame. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ See⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It is lovely from the inside, with its stained glass windows and murals and the high arches.
