Eurovision in the 2010s: A (not really) definitive ranking of all the competing countries 6. Denmark 🇩🇰 Ever wondered why Denmark is the happiest country in the world? It's got nothing to do with the high quality of life, commitment to equality or the lovely natural landscape - it's because they're mint at Eurovision. Top 10 placings like you wouldn't believe, a clear winner and they've only ever ducked out of the final on two occasions shortly after winning to recharge. Personally I could take or leave Denmark at times but you can't deny those Lego-building vikings know how to put on a show. Eurovision in the 2010s: A (not really) definitive ranking of all the competing countries 8. Norway 🇧🇻 Somehow the lowest ranking Scandinavian nation of the decade, Norway is still a damn sight better than most countries in Eurovision, with a string of Top 10 finishes and a banging qualification record to boot. If it wasn't for the jury this year and their hatred of the amazing joiking from KEIINO, Norway would be even higher on the list and would see the new decade in just as the they did the old...with a shit ton of debt from hosting Eurovision. Eurovision in the 2010s: A (not really) definitive ranking of all the competing countries 13. Greece Quite possibly the best nation of the 2000s decade (I don't know for sure, cba to check the stats), Greece has - most likely will full intentions of doing so - sent some slightly less impressive entries these last few years. However, while their economy was crumbling, they still managed to place in the Top 10 a handful of times, including with this brilliantly odd number involving men in skirts pretending to play a variety of musical instruments incorrectly. Malta 🇲🇹 It's quite fitting that Malta just squeezes into the Top 30 because they are the definition of mediocrity. Although not according to the juries, they bloody love Malta for some reason. The televoters have slightly mixed feeling though and the end result is that Malta is just kind of there. Belarus 🇧🇾 Anyone who says it's all the former Soviet countries that do really well at Eurovision has clearly never seen a Belarusian performance. They're just naff and the rest of Europe clearly agrees, not once giving Belarus enough points to finish on the left-hand side of the leaderboard this decade.
