conversational structure may not be what we automatically think of when we’re looking at story parallels, but i’d like to draw your attention to how the flirtations between solas and lavellan follow a call-and-response pattern much like orpheus and eurydice in hadestown. 

the most obvious example i can think of is the class-specific exchange in haven, yet the form is present in the fade sequence, lavellan’s mimicking of solas’ mannerisms on the balcony, solas’ and lavellan’s reaffirmations of their love in crestwood (and the “grim and fatalistic" lines before that), and throughout the trespasser sequence. 

they echo and bounce off of each other’s lines and use wordplay effortlessly, reminiscent of orpheus and eurydice in come home with me i and ii, wedding song, and all i’ve ever known. eurydice/lavellan questions and calls, orpheus/solas responds and answers.

but in crestwood and gone, i’m gone? the pattern, like the relationship, fractures and breaks.

Would you mind enlightening prospective players on the vibe/feel/character type you're looking for in a Eurydice? Since she's been picked up a few times, I just wondered if you could describe what you like to see in apps for her!

Hi anon! Where Eurydice stands now, she is quite the lost soul. Her skeleton tells the story of someone who lost their dreams, their love, their future, and has yet to reclaim their power or path in this world. The open-ended nature of her skel means that there's a world of possible options and directions in which to take Eury, more so than some of the other skeletons with clearer paths directly ahead. 

What we'd like to see in an app is a clear vision of where she might go next, in terms of personal and plot development. What the writer is looking to explore with the character, what they're excited about, why they're drawn to her and the potential they see. A sense of her voice and personality, hopes and dreams, how someone so loving and gifted could get so turned around, and how they might right themselves going forward. In general, we're looking for a mun who sees all that potential and is excited and ready with some bold plot ideas and ways they might want to tie her into the greater story of Reus as it unfolds!

hi! sorry if this is answered in the skeleton and i somehow keep missing it because i'm a perpetually sleepy gremlin but how well known exactly is eurydices fuck up? is it only the people who were involved and it's largely considered a secret? did someone notice her in the area and now there's rumors? is it something more than that? i'm working on an app for her and don't want to use the wrong language :))

Hello there! Please, we're all perpetually sleepy gremlins, no apologies necessary! As of right now, it'd only be known to those who were involved, namely Megara, Nyx, and Hades - though if you think of any possibilities or scenarios in which others might eventually infer or find out, feel free to include that in Development, if you feel the muse for it! :)
