winterfest update

so, i almost have 3 of the final six days finished up for my tier 2 & 3 patrons, and should be able to get them up tonight (the 24th) as planned!

unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances in my personal life that i would honestly not lay bare for all to see, i haven’t been able to finish up the final 3 items. i would rather delay their early access release by a day or two in order to release fully polished items over some half-baked items i feel like i could do better on (also i don’t exactly celebrate christmas anyway so i won’t be busy and will have time to do so)

of course, public release will still go on as planned starting tomorrow as the first 6 days have already been finished

i hope you all understand!!

i also just want to take a moment to thank everyone for all their love and support, in every context throughout this year. you all have made it slightly more bearable <3

smol update

i’m unlikely to be able to make anything new for the next ~4-8 days (could extend slightly longer) because

1. i have to catch up on school work now that i’m not sick as a dog 2. i got a new ssd (been wanting one for like 2 years lmao) so everything is reinstalling and i’m reorganizing my folders and content to make it cleaner

not to worry tho! i still have at least 5 recolours ready to post since i got them ready just in case of this and haven’t lost any mesh WIPs (one is almost ready to post! so i’ll finish it as soon as i’m able) :)

Hey mates lets talk about this thing I like to call

Genderswing: Why does this word exist? Because I couldn’t find a word to explain my gender, and the labels that came close came with a whole boatload of inaccurate associations of their own. Now, I know plenty of people are of the opinion that labels are an unnecessary part of orientation in general, but for folks like me, labels are an important part of our identities and self-assurance, and not having an accurate one can really be alienating.

What does this word mean? Well, in my case, the definition I understand it as can best be described as a fluctuation/fluidity not, as in genderflux, between strengths of gender, and not, as in genderfluid, between several/all genders, but between a base, more default gender, in my case male, and multiple other genders that are nearer than the other side of the binary on the spectrum. On a day to day basis, I most commonly identify as male, but also on occasion end up feeling more aligned with one or more nonbinary genders, which rarely seem to exactly repeat twice, and never align with or near my assigned gender. Of course, like most labels, this can vary with the person, with varying base genders and radii of gender fluctuation.

Why did I pick this word? When I was attempting to visualize how my gender shifted, the clearest image I could come up with was a pendulum, with the base gender as the center of the swing.

In addition, on a personal level, the way my gender tended to change from day to day without any discomfort at the inconsistency felt something like a dance. I was and still am able to express my gender of the day with clothing, to the point where my close friends are able to guess when my pronouns are he/him or they/them. This label, while I’m still the only person who uses it for the time being, gave a bit of understanding to my otherwise messy self-image. I hope to spread this name for the otherwise nameless sensation we know as gender as my contribution to the community.
