Hi 'tis me the anon who asked about ace headcanons for the ace fankids. My ace™ feelings hit hard again today, might I request more ace headcanons for the ace fankids? Thank you!! (ps: you were right the first time, I love hot cocoa and blankets!)
Of course friendo!!! (would you like some more hot cocoa and more blankets?)
also i’m sorry this was like late, there was a lot of thinking involved. BUT like the previous q’s, this is including everyone who falls under the ace umbrella!
When Chloe told her parents she was asexual, they didn’t really get it. Drew couldn’t really wrap his head around the concept, believing that it was still just that science term that was in those science textbooks all those years ago. May also didn’t really understand, but it was in a “so what are you going to do if you want kids?” It was….. A stressful time for Chloe.
When Eva came out to her parents are also being asexual, May and Drew were much more understanding this time since they were thoroughly educated by Chloe about what being asexual meant. Eva was glad that both May and Drew were okay and accepting, as well as being educated. She will forever thank Chloe for saving her the time to do something like that. Not to say she wouldn’t have done so herself, but there’s a limit to her patience. And she sometimes tend to forget that not everyone is knowledgable about these sorts of topics like she is.
Both Daniel and Paige Isabella came out as being asexual and grey-ace/demisexual to their families. Dawn, Paul, and Reggie were 100% accepting of them. Johanna on the other hand, not so much. Their maternal grandmother has never heard of these orientations before, and found it ridiculous and silly that “kids” would be identifying themselves so early without exploring or even trying it out. She already has a problem with Paige Isabella being pan, but to add onto the fact that both of her grandkids are not interested in sex, or are indifferent to it, is unheard of in her book. Daniel, upset as he should be. Paige Isabella just ignores her words and reassures Daniel that grandma is just stuck in her old fashioned ways.
Rhyme’s mother was also not very… Accepting? Well no, she was accepting - but only in private. In public? She just doesn’t want to talk to Rhyme about it and would always tell her to be quiet. Rhyme’s aunt on the other hand, knows of Rhyme’s orientation. Rhyme usually confides in her aunt much more than her own mother.
Emilie doesn’t let what happened to her get to her, but sometimes during her moments of doubts she’d recall those moments and wonder if she really is broken. Her twin tells her otherwise and reassures her that she is perfectly fine the way she is. Emilie appreciates it a lot. When she came out to Silver and Gold, they were both accepting. Silver learned from his mistakes from back when the twins told them they were trans. He didn’t want to make the same mistake as before and had grown up a bit too. Learning everything about his transgendered children, and even learning about what asexuality(/aromantic) is. Bismuth doesn’t understand what was happening but he was happy that Emilie is happy!
Paris hates when family friends, or even strangers, ask her if she’s going to get married or have a kid, like christ guys she’s only 17. But what she hates most if whenever she says that she’s “eh” with sex, it becomes some weird scene. It’s either “what!? how can you not like sex!?” or “it’s good you’re not having sex so much, wouldn’t want to be a slut now would you?” and she just, hates it???? She hates the double standard and the stigma of sex. Like, so what if she’s not that interested? It’s not something she needs per say, but she doesn’t hate it either? She’s grey-ace! And she hates how people would just slut-shame other girls who do enjoy sex and have sex a lot.
Roland finds it completely troublesome trying to explain to strangers just why he doesn’t want to have sex. He, as one may say, has low spoons. He just doesn’t have the energy to really to do something he’s just not that interested in. He hates how other guys (not necessarily friends) try to push him onto other girls to get laid. He’s just not that interested and never will be interested. Barry was understanding and pretty much made the connections early on, way before Roland plucked up the courage and energy to tell him.
Kylie, being lithsexual, has found it absolutely troubling whenever she envisions herself having sex with someone she likes - and then when she really imagines herself being placed into that situation, she just, gets so uncomfortable and NOPES the hell away. Though with that being said, she’s okay with being lithsexual, because it just means she can imagine herself having sex with celebrities and know that it will never happen. Brandon was the first to pick up on Kylie’s orientation, and later Calem. Noll didn’t really understand much, but he, being the darling little brother that he is, researched up on lithsexuality and pretty much got it.
Damien is indifferent with his fraysexuality - the same way he feels about his lithromanticism. He enjoys sex, he enjoys sex a lot. However, he also hates being fraysexual because if he were to ever make a strong emotional connection with the other person/or even GOT to know the person on a personal level, he’d just feel awkward and uncomfortable with having sex with them. His feelings about it would even cross over to the “disgusted” feelings. And it’s hard for him to really keep a relationship because he’d end up pushing that person away. He doesn’t want to have all these sex friends, he just wants to find someone and not be uncomfortable or disgusted with for once.
