it has waited five years for me to finish reading it, i cannot in good conscience make it wait any longer

the interesting thing about nge is that it's basically a reversal of the standard "eastern religions are so cool, what do you mean context" thing

like while western fiction authors blend third eyes and the monkey king and mandalas into one fucked-up fantasy belief system with no context because they think it's cool and foreign, nge is like "this kabbalah thing is interesting, ooh who's lilith, what if we used a crucifix made out of the lance of longinus to cause armageddon and turn everyone into orange soda"

it's just really cool to finally see someone appropriating and fucking up the judeo-christian mythos for once
