I'm not a huge reader but i loved the Infernal Devices series!! (Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince, and Clockwork Princess) Not sure if that's your type of book but I thoroughly enjoyed them :-)

yeahh I read them, loved them! probably preferred them to the Mortal Instruments tbh
