Breaking News: Evan Borne Sent Home For 60 Days
According to NODQ.com and WWE.com Former Tag Team Champion, Matthew Korklan has been suspended for 60 days for a violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. I'm willing to bet that he got popped again for testing positive for the chemicals in K2 Spice, or "Fake Bake". Here's what I have come to find inside the WWE Wellness Policy about Marijuana. This may assist Evan in the future when he wants to smoke: In the event of any positive test for marijuana, the WWE Talent shall be fined Two Thousand Five Hundred US Dollars ($2,500.00) per positive test, which shall be deducted from the WWE Talent's downside guarantee. Interesting is it not? Now why would something like that be only a fine and K2 be treated like this: Synthetic cannabinoids, most commonly referred to as "Spice", or "K2", are chemically engineered substances, similar to THC - the active ingredient in marijuana - that, when smoked or ingested, can produce pharmacological effects similar to marijuana. Regardless of whether there is a prescription, the use of synthetic cannabinoids will be considered a non-medical use for purposes of this Policy. The use of synthetic cannabinoids is therefore prohibited and subject to the penalties set forth in Section 15 A of the Policy.
Now I've also studied and thought to Section 15A of the Wellness Policy. I will highlight with asterisks where Evan Borne stands in the policy.
A. FOR POSITIVE DRUG TESTS OTHER THAN MARIJUANA AND ALCOHOL
First Violation: In the event of an initial positive test for substances prohibited by this Policy other than marijuana and alcohol, the WWE Talent shall be suspended for thirty (30) days, fined an amount equal to thirty (30) days' pay deducted from the WWE Talent's downside guarantee on a weekly basis and WWE will publicly disclose the WWE Talent's name and duration of the suspension and indicating a first violation the Policy.
*Second Violation: In the event of a second positive test for substances prohibited by this Policy other than marijuana and alcohol, the WWE Talent shall be suspended for sixty (60) days, fined an amount equal to sixty (60) days' pay deducted from the WWE Talent's downside guarantee on a weekly basis and WWE will publicly disclose the WWE Talent's name and duration of the suspension and indicating a second violation the Policy.*
Third Violation: In the event of a third positive test for substances prohibited by this Policy other than marijuana and alcohol, the WWE Talent's contract with WWE will be terminated and WWE will publicly disclose the WWE Talent's name and that WWE Talent's contract was terminated for a third violation of the Policy.
Any WWE Talent, who has participated in a drug rehabilitation program as a result of the Policy, must undergo the mandatory unannounced follow-up testing set forth in Section 8 C (1) of the Policy for the remainder of his/her contractual relationship with WWE.
Any WWE Talent, who leaves the WWE for any reason with a first or second violation on his/her record, will maintain said violation count on his/her record from the time he/she departs WWE until the time he/she returns, if ever, to the WWE. In addition, a WWE Talent, who is terminated by the WWE for a third violation of the Policy, will be prohibited from returning to the WWE for at least one (1) year. If a WWE Talent, who is terminated for a third violation of the Policy, is permitted by the WWE, in its sole discretion, to return to the WWE, then (1) such WWE Talent must test negative for all prohibited substances under this Policy during the pre-contract screening process; (2) such WWE Talent will return to the WWE with a first and second violation of this Policy against his/her record; and (3) such WWE Talent must undergo the mandatory unannounced follow-up testing set forth in Section 8 C (1) of the Policy for a period of at least one (1) year after execution of his/her new contract with WWE.
WWE Talent shall have no claim or cause of action of any kind against WWE, its affiliated and related entities, subsidiaries or licensees or any of its/their directors, officers, employees or agents with respect to a publication of a violation under this Policy.
Nice, right? Think about this Evan has a strike left, if he makes on slight mistake you can say good-bye to that nice little pay-off he gets. Be smart, get popped for pot, they don't even get a mention, at least as far as I've found. And as it turns out Evan has gone out on his twitter and apologized to the WWE fans of this recent failing of the Wellness Policy. The question is whats going to happen to him when he gets back. Well as I see it he'll be either on Superstars getting squashed by Brodus Clay, Skip Sheffield, and probably Kane, or right back on Raw getting squashed by Brodus Clay, Kane, and others much like what happened with Johnny Nitro-Morrison-Spade-Blaze prior to his leaving the WWE. Some believe that Evan is just wanting to be gone from there, if he was to want that don't you think that he would ask for it and receive it as well? Think about it. You work at McDonald's and you don't like it you do one of two things: 1. Shut up and deal with it. or 2. Give your notice work it out and leave. Don't get sent home for essentially three months lose three months of your paydays, that's just silly. Of course you can always go the way of Scott Stiener (Or at least the way it allegedly) went. If you know for a FACT that someone in higher standing in the company (Like Stiener said Triple Haich was) on the same thing you're getting popped for, and they haven't been tested (Again this is as the story goes) that you'll test again when *Insert name here* tests. I bet one of two things happens. Either you never test again or you lose your job.
The above is an opinion piece on the WWE Wellness Policy and Evan Bourne's situation. It does not reflect the opinions or fews of anyone on the Tumblr staff.
Raw main event!
I will have to admit that John Morrison has an amazing fat ass! But besides an amazing ass his skills is quite amazing as well! Evan Borne is dope to! Seeing Evan Borne fly live was quite a scene at MSG! This main event match is pretty good but lets be honest it's not the greatest. We all know Randy Orton was gonna win the match w/ the RKO!
