well, after Evan moved to BC and broke up with Mckyelenlshley he realised he was indeed, y'know ✋🏼↩️. this is him with his boytoy... John or something. I really don't remember or care.

and as for Mckayheklsine4leigh who stayed in musty crusty Copperdale, she was the only one who remained after Konner Prescott finished his 12-year stint in prison. he got out when he was like, 30 and life had passed his ass by. later, idiot.

Graduation came that year, and it was the final, gasping end to a year that was unebelievably heavy with tension. Copperdale High, class of 20XX. Evan and Toby drifted apart after he quit the team, but he became closer to Jay. As did Shannon. Evan and McKynsleigh would stay with each other up until they went to college. Evan left for British Columbia. McKynsleigh stayed in the area. She just couldn't bear to leave home. And Konner...well, he didn't graduate that year, not even in absentia, thanks to his shit performance, and his impending trial, at which, he was to be tried as an adult. The stain he was leaving on the Prescott name was indelible.

Evan Caulfield was the captain of the football team, and someone Toby seriously looked up to, and his uncle being the coach was definitely a huge part of his sway. Evan's word, after Coach Caller's, was basically law around here. I had to edit this scene twice bc i realised i made Evan say "dude" like it was punctuation. lmfao. please relax.

Toby got a foul taste in his mouth, realising that all of these ultimatums to be "one with the team" were really just demands from Evan to devote his spare time to him. And in that moment, something in him...switched on.
