Hii! I was hoping to ask about evelogia. I've been looking for a while now and I can't find a straight answer - basically, I wanna read the manga, but not if eve is a minor. The MAL page describes him as both a child and a young man(?) But i've also seen people say he's just an adult that was malnourished?
He doesn't have a canon age and is deliberately looking like that because it's going for the reverse uke-seme trope. His behaviour, interactions with other characters and world knowledge suggest a young, inexperienced and sheltered adult who although has the frontal lobe developed, lacks information to utilise it to its fullest. To me he reads like 19-23. I have no idea if he can even get malnourished, since he's the overpowered ageless demon king.
In settings like this, where there are no canon ages, you have to guess their range by their behaviour and interactions. If everyone was telling eve constantly eg that he can't drink or ask gozou if he's his father or smth like that, that suggests the character is in-universe perceived as young, then the character would be a minor. Usually, in pairings where one of them is specifically a minor the characters won't shut up about how young they are/look. That's the whole point after all.
In eve's case, he's just incredibly feminine/cute. He's been mistaken for a woman multiple times and characters enjoy seeing him dress up in cute/feminine clothes. His trope is that he's your average uke, who is often times designed as incredibly girly and weak and fragile and uwu, to the point that it borders on parody. His character is shy and unsure about the world around him (due to his isolation) which is another common trope for the uke. But ☝️ he's also the top. His actual personality is possessive, controlling and dominant, he gets angry easily (demon king) and has to hold back when he's with gozou because he's aware of their physical power imbalance.
I could keep going forever but it was getting too long lmao. Anyway, the whole point is the gap moe, how you expect the characters to act a certain way due to the tropes they're representing, only for them to shatter your preconceived notions of their personality. Imo read it for like a couple of chapters and see how it goes.
