Happy Birthday!!! Sorry to hear you had to work, but I hope you get some good rest here soon.
I collect a lot of things, especially dolls. My very favorite is this one:
He’s an art doll made by an artist called Red River Road. About eight years ago, I found him secondhand on Ebay, so I’ve never had any context for him, but everything about him immediately charmed me. He’s a deer centaur who had a peg leg. He’s dressed in dark leathers, skull details, has claws, and has a mask that implies he should be scary, but his expression is charmingly awkward. It’s as if he is a humans who walked out of the woods and had seen people smile, but does not know how to even though he is earnestly trying.
He’s fully poseable and beautifully made. Of all my dolls, he’s the one that feels less like a fun toy and more like — that’s just my little room guy. He has come along with me through a whole lot. He is earnest and awkward and strange but I adore him, and maybe that’s a comfort I take in him, because I am those same things.
Sometimes art just finds the perfect person at the perfect time, and he’s mine.
Hello and apologies for the delayed response!
Your little room guy is quite a creature! He feels very alive, even through the pictures. His expression puts me immediately in mind of this 😬 which is almost always among my recently used emojis.
Thank you very much for sharing him, I’m very glad I got to see him! Thanks also for the birthday wishes! ❤️❤️
