Possibly unpopular opinion but...
For me, Finn would have made a much better protagonist than Rey because his character is so much more complex and his purpose/role could have been cultivated in such a nice way. I was alright with Rey in the first movie because it was just an introduction for everyone and you can't expect much, but this newest movie proved to me shes just a very dry character with little reason behind her actions beyond not knowing her parents and idolizing the resistance (which could have been done well, but nooooo the movie had to half ass the whole thing). Even Rose felt more like a legitimately interesting character than Rey and she only just showed up. Either way, can someone redo the movies with Finn as the main character please????? Or even write a super long fanfic????? Bonus if its stormpilot or finnlo oriented. Quadruple bonus if its a love triangle and deals with Finn feeling a pull towards the dark side encouraged by Kylo but Poe is like fuck that noise and tries to fist fight him and Finn is fawned over by e v e r y b o d y
