Small backstory: Even wasn’t born…normally. After the fall of Beacon, Cinder’s unconcious body was discovered and taken to somewhere secluded, it was there that Adam had found her and struck up a small deal with Merlot: take Adam and Cinder’s DNA to make a strong warrior from the both of them. So Merlot did, put that DNA in an artificial womb of sorts, nine months later a red-orange haired kid was born. Cinder was already brought to the Wastelands and Adam had wanted nothing to do with the child, so Merlot (while a mad scientist still had a moral compass) dropped off the newborn Even at an orphanage.
