The Evening Calm 🌇

As the fierce orange sky turns inky blue,

and the low rumbling traffic fades away,

my eyes slowly start to close and my mind goes

astray.

The birds sing a song of love,

and I am transported to a place,

the good and bad, the dreams and nightmares.

The sky is now a chalkboard,

scattered with lots of stars,

the moon shines like the sun of night.

Now the cars are distant,

the birds have gone to sleep,

as I feel myself drifting to the land of dreams.
