PJ Harvey, "My Beautiful Leah" live on BBC with Steve Lamacq (September 23, 1998)
Steve Lamacq: But is it a democracy in the van with videos and music and stuff? Because obviously bands argue on tour in the van about what they are gonna watch. I mean, is it a democracy or does someone pull rank?
Damon: Not really, cuz Graham brings all the videos and most music so, it's really his choice. But he's probably got the best in-flight entertainment.
Graham: It's very important to me, I spend quite a long time choosing what the rest of the boys might like to view in the tour bus. I put myself in that situation y'all. And go through my videos: "Oh I've seen that, I've seen that and seen that, but I might not be bored of it yet, I might enjoy seeing that again. But I like to bang in a few surprises to make that journey in the van just a bit more exciting.
after the first night of the Parklife tour, Evening Session, May 1994
Steve Lamacq: We got some questions on the phone.
Jo Whiley: What's your favourite love song?
Graham: Favourite love song? Hmm…
Jo: You look like you are looking to Damon for illustration(?) about this.
Graham: Oh, um…
Steve: Damon's through the glass, just to fill you in listeners. We got the studio here and through the glass you can see Damon, various members of the record company, standing by, looking like minders actually, arms folded, very protective. I'm buying you time you see!
Graham: Um, my favourite love song, I don't know.
Evening Session, December 1996
