when: day 7 of the wedding celebration, during the dinner after the wedding, after the arryn/dayne scandal is revealed; first month of 21 ac where: sunspear, dorne who: harlan dondarrion & bellaria uller ( @sword-born )
At least this time, the chaos that erupted had nothing to do with the wedding itself. Harlan thought this was all pedantic, messy even. What he did care about, though, was the safety of those around him. No matter if they were Dornish or Westerosi, there was no reason for this indecorum. He had been attempting to break up a side fight to no avail.
One object that was thrown was a glass cup, aiming directly towards someone who was attempting to leave. Bellaria. It takes a sidestep for Harlan to interfere, catching it before it falls to the ground to shatter into a million pieces. There was no point in staying where he was not wanted. He gives a nod to her, whether as a greeting or sign of protection was up to interpretation.
Once they are both out of there, away from the noise, they are now side by side. A tired sigh leaves his lips.
He never would have thought he'd have been here as a wedding guest, let alone walking alongside Bellaria Uller. They had been exchanging letters ever since their time at King's Landing. Yet, Harlan kept her at arm's distance emotionally while walking directly beside her. Yet, he could pick her out in a crowd. Would he have protected anyone the same? Absolutely. That's what he tells himself, that he needs to pick out everyone in a crowd.
He waits until few are around him to speak. "You would not think any of them are nobles based on their actions tonight." He speaks like he does in his letters - direct to the point. "Did anything hit you?"
