Am I the only one who thinks it would make more sense to, rather than re-make family films, simply re-release them?
Take the How To Train Your Dragon remake that came out last weekend; I see no reason to remake a film that's not even two decades old when they could've just re-released the original HTTYD in theatres.
That way you bring in old fans who are (probably) parents now and decide to take their kids to see it.
You end up creating new fans with kids who've never seen the origonal.
And you can create an entire new line of merchandise.
Plus, you're actually saving money by simply releasing a film that's already in your catalogue as opposed to re-making it.
Everybody wins!!!!
I don't know, maybe that's just me.
