“I can’t promise this festival isn’t going to end like the last one but I have a feeling I’m not going to summon the aurors to your house at two in the morning like we did last time,” Halley recounted, remembering the second their silencio charm stopped working and her shouting after the veritaserum had revealed all about her past. “I’m going to stay clear of the alcohol just in case, so can I get you a burger instead?”

“I feel like such a housewife,” Rory commented as he handed off one of the bags to Liam. “I’ve just done the food shopping for the week at that market and some kid behind the fruit counter gave me a flower to put behind my ear.” Did it make him broody? Sure, but Rory was being a little too sweet for his own liking. “When we get home can we do some one on one quidditch or something? This week off is driving me crazy. I feel like I need to get angry at some point in the next seventy two hours otherwise they’ll never let this cutie back on the team next week.”

“I’m not gonna lie, I kind of don’t want to be here,” Rose commented to her brother as they slowly walked around the stalls. “I know mum said it was okay, and there are aurors around in case things go sideways but... it’s our first time at one of these things in months. It’s terrifying.”

“Okay here,” Auden said, passing Iris a drink and a spiced doughnut he’d picked up from one of the stalls. “A peace offering for me being twenty minutes late because I was marking work and didn’t realise what the time was– and now you can shout at me. Go,” he grinned sweetly at the other in the hopes that it would stop it all together.

“Rosa sent me the pictures of you in a crown earlier and I’ve now got them saved in case I ever need leverage over you,” Astrid teased her cousin, flicking her phone towards him to show the evidence. “You truly looked beautiful. Such a shame I look like an actual goddess so you can’t do the same for me.”

Sit still,” Joe shook his head and tutted playfully at Willow as she posed for the painting he was finishing up. “You can’t rush mastery and I can’t work from a moving image, Willow.” He was already regretting signing up for this but had a few ideas for poses he could do when it came for his time to be the object of the painting next. “Okay, give me two more minutes and then you’ll have your painting. Honestly? It’s the next Mona Lisa.”

“I bought some fresh veggies from that stall over there earlier,” Thea commented, opening her tote bag to show her roommate her purchases. “Figured we could spend an afternoon together and do some sort of spring dinner from scratch? And you can make the dessert, obvs.”

She had not been able to stop sneezing due to the amount of pollen strewn everywhere, no thanks to the flower crowns on everybody’s heads. “There is far too much colour and joy in Hogsmeade right now and I don’t like it.”
