                           Just some bar. In the middle of some town. With strange drunks with names that she would never bother to ask for. Except for one. That's always the way, wasn't it? There was always that one face that stood out amongst the others, and how they ended up sharing four or five drinks between them. Along with laughing. The slightness of her hand brushing against his arm. Perhaps Isolde had been too drunk to tell that she had been flirting, but he had somehow ended up at her side for most of the evening.

                          Stumbling down the sidewalk. Fumbling down the hall of her apartment. "I -- appreciate this. Thank you--"

                          But as soon as she had looked up at him, Connor's mouth came crashing down against her own with enough force to send her back into the wall. The impact made the length of her spine shuddering but she kissed him back just as hungrily, spindling digits curling around his collar to yank him toward her. Little did she know that he would be the only thing she would need.

                                           Why hadn't anyone said anything?                                           Why hadn't anyone warned her?

I like that you offer a human Katherine in a very /human/ way, that it's not really just overdone performances and dramatizations. It's a character you've fleshed out in a way that offers others someone to possibly relate to. It's definitely interesting and fun to watch, read and interact. :3

In an intricately blown-glass jar placed upon her desk is a well-preserved 'human heart' -- the glass itself has delicate swirls of black and darkened silver at it's base and around it's closure. A small handwritten note is laid before it, and enclosed is the following: 'I'd like to think myself clever for this, given this is one of my own. Happy Saint Valentine's, dearest Isolde.' with a small anatomical heart by her own signature.

              How was she not supposed to smile? It may have seemed a little disturbing, having a heart in a jar. But that wasn't the point, was it? Carefully, Isolde picked up the gift, turning it and inspecting it while the organ sloshed around within it's glass casing. Of course, she didn't want to smile.

              And she most certainly didn't want that blush to warm her cheeks so brightly; Isolde bit down on her lip. "Perfect."
