So one of the creepy aspects of the Court of Owls plotline is the fact that their are some legacy Talons who specifically bred to produce their successors before getting their transformation completed and making themselves infertile and it's like an expected part.
Dick in that timeline is a legacy because his grandfather was a Talon so let's say in an AU where Grandpa William got Dick early and he was more brainwashed into being raised as a Talon he finally gets to his expected age to reproduce and is the Court favorite even if his Grandfather thinks he is too mouthy for a Talon, he is charming enough to toe the line.
(Dick is never going to be perfectly obedient.)
And well the Court has been having issues with someone getting nosy and into things. At first they think its the Bat but one night the nest being investigated is Dick's and he finds teenage Tim in his hidden hideout. Dick takes him in but is charmed by the way Tim follows him so trusting and interestingly recognizes him.
And he looks very familiar to Dick. He feels almost bad about turning him in. But he does and because of his family the Court decides brainwashing him into being an Owl would be most efficient rather than waste resources by killing him but they want to punish him first.
Dick has been creepily watching the brainwashing sessions and eveey other free moment and sneaking into Tim's cell to watch him sleep and occasionally touching him slowly exploring his body ignoring Tim when he wakes up only to coo at him until he quiets. Tim is there long enough he leans into it since Dick is literally the only kind thing there and cries a little when Dick one day just picks him up and holds him kissing his face and stroking his hair trying to recreate a memory that is a little out of reach while Tim clings to him.
Dick speaks up and suggests breeding Tim having become absolutely enthralled. He says Tim is able (having explored everywhere) and they were wanting to breed Dick so why waste the opportunity? Tim is certainly clever and resourceful enough to pass on good traits to a baby Talon.
The Owls agree and Dick is utterly delighted to get his choice.
These sessions are public though so Tim gets fed better cleaned up and wakes up tied and gagged on a bench in an arena while the Owls watch Dick fuck him.
Though eventually these public sessions eventually trigger Dick's possessive streak a little too much especially since some of the Owls touch Dick's Bird after he finishes and only years of training stops him from snapping their hands off. He starts to want to keep Tim which Talons don't get to keep things.
It was only occasionally at first but now each session ends with Dick sneaking to Tim's room to hold and kiss and pet him in a kind of creepy comfort post public rape that Tim is clinging to while Dick describes mundane things he's seen during his jobs and Tim returns it by telling Dick about his school and previous life. When Tim become definitely pregnant and the sessions end Dick starts to get erratic because if the pregnancy is successful to term with a healthy baby he's getting his full treatment and put on ice and Tim is going to become someone he can't touch or see and their baby is going to be taken (their Robin is what Dick calls them privately). And now he's grandfather caught him sneaking in to see Tim so he's being stopped from that and punished and it makes Dick furious.
Dick reasons he only really needs one Owl after all and Tim is one now. Or at least halfway there. He'll just need to do some pruning before their baby bird arrives.
Something Tim discovers when after months of being isolated with only a "doctor" checking on progress sees his door open up to find a grinning blood covered Dick skipping in to scoop him up in a kiss and press him into the bed cooing about how everything is going to be alright now and he's got the perfect nest for them.
And Tim clings back because he's been searching for Dick Grayson since he was orphaned at twelve years old and it isn't like he had anyone to go back to.
