zanka knew how his life should go since the moment he was born. He'll finish school, attend his family's judo club and enter a university to pursue a law degree. He'll finish as valedictorian and follow in his sister's footsteps, become a famous prosecutor, eventually get married and continue to uphold the household's reputation.

turns out zanka nijiku is too much of a disappointment and continues to do nothing but tarnish the nijiku name. At least that's what goka's been saying.
and zanka can't help but agree. All his life he felt like nothing but a big stain on his whole lineage. Maybe it would have been better rather he was never born.
but he was. And he can't afford himself a luxury of regretting it now. He has to atone for all the disgrace he brought upon people who did everything for him.
well maybe not. That weird group of people that's been running a cafe zanka frequence don't seem to think what he did is all that bad. Yes he swapped judo for kendo and studies forensic science instead of law so what. Shouldn't his family be happy he does what he likes? Enjin, the manager, says that there's more to life then family's honor. And riyo says they're just assholes too stuck up their asses if they treat his happiness as an inconvenience.
zanka wishes they were his family instead. But the thing he doesn't realize is that they already are. Not by blood but everyone in that cafe already treats zanka as an honorary member.
