i relate to the bully post because i was also bullied and my little girl has a bully too. the school has been dealing with it wonderfully but it just doesn't erase the fact that i don't want her in that situation. i have to be honest i do give the bully girl the stink eye every time i see her, but man the punching thing, so relatable!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your little girl's bully, that stinks, but I'm glad that her school is dealing with the situation instead of simply chalking it up as an instance of "kids being kids." I suppose adults who have experienced being on the receiving end of bullying treatment are more sensitive to the issue compared to those who were not.

I'll admit that my fight or flight instinct rises when I'm confronted with meanness, even to this day, despite the fact that bullying (in the classic sense) doesn't really exist in adulthood. At least not in the same way it does for kids.

While I don't condone physically assaulting anyone—let alone a child—I do occasionally fantasize about how satisfying it would be to coldcock a little bullying brat. Thank goodness for self-control! Not to mention laws and common decency and stuff!
