10 years!

Hi kiddies, this is just a lil post to say that as of today, 17th September 2023, I have been a mod on this blog for ten years!!!

I got accepted as a mod in 2013 on my dad's birthday, I always remember because some family were about to start arriving for his party and I was freaking out with excitement in the livingroom because Addyson had messaged me to say I was in (along with Toni). And I was frantically combing through the inbox because I was buzzing and wanted to answer asks but people were arriving so it was just like sdughjkd[fg lmao.

I followed the blog not long after it was made in 2012 and now, of course, I've been a mod for the majority of the time it's been a thing. I felt like such a newbie for such a long time but I'm the second longest standing mod after Addyson (and so is Toni with me jointly but I don't think she's been on Tumblr in about two years now) and I have been for a really long time now.

Taking over the tags from Alex when they left the blog was probably the best thing I ever did on here. It's so dumb but I love order and lists and the 'admin' of it and I'm just... super anal so I find it genuinely fun.

I love being here, I love maintaining the blog, I can't believe it's been 10 fucking years.

I love you all, I love that many of you still use this blog regularly even just to find nostalgic fics, and I will probably still be here on my 20th ATFF anniversary.

It was ATFF’s 10th birthday on the 22nd August.

I’ve been wanting to make a post about it but I honestly didn’t know what to say. I wasn’t a mod when it began but I’ve been here for a very long time now and I was a follower very soon after it was made so this feels pretty surreal. All the mods that have come and gone, stories posted and deleted, the dumbest dramas that are so silly in hindsight, fic after fic that made me and so many others emotional.

I guess a special thank-you to Chloe (and Rhea) is in order for making the blog to start with, wherever they are. I hope all our past mods are doing amazing.

I know it’s just a silly wee blog for imaginary stories but I care about it so deeply and I just wanted to say I’m grateful people still use the blog. ❤️‍🩹

Housekeeping!

Hello!

Just a wee note to say I'll be tidying up a lot of pages on the blog because they've been bothering me for ages (and I finally have the motivation to revisit doing the content page once and for all after it broke on me three times in a row).

Some pages may also be combined into one page as we have a truly insane amount and it seems silly to keep them all when they would be more efficient as a singular page.

All that said, I've decided to retire our beta list. I don't think it gets used, hasn't been in years, and the names that are still on it are largely inactive. If anyone needs a beta for their fic, they are welcome to send an ask so that current followers can show interest. I think that would be a better system.

I'll keep you all up to date on the pages being amended.

I'm sharing this because while I still intend to post some All Time Low/bandom fics, I am primarily feeling inspired to post for Stranger Things at the moment (might be a smattering of Sciles from Teen Wolf in there going forward too).

Eve's Back On Her Tag Bullshit, etc etc

Against my better judgement, I am going fully through the tags A-Z again because it’s been years since I last did it and unfortunately we’ve lost a lot of fics since then. So I wanna get all the deleted ones off the blog.

There’s also a lot of fics that need resubmitted to the blog too because the links are either messed up or they’re only posted to the blog via an ask (and I personally would prefer they’re properly posted into the tags with the summary and everything) BUT in order to preserve my sanity, I’m only combing through and erasing deleted fics at the moment. I’ll comb through again at a later date and do all the reposts because that’s a way bigger beast and I usually end up away on a total wild goose chase finding other fics from the authors that were never, ever posted here and… it’s just way easier if I stick to deletions right now!!!

Anyway, I’m going to keep record of everything I delete from the tags for… fun? I’m just curious to see how much we lose lmao.
