Chase and Rory from @shelbybach ’s book series! #everafterschool SORRY FOR THE REPOST
me: *violently remembers i have a research paper due sunday night on marketing towards the african american community*
requirements: 1500 words, 6 sources, wikipedia not allowed, cover all 4 of these topics in the paper, late work not accepted and if you don’t turn it in you fail the class and oh, yeah, it’s worth 100 points while everything else has been worth 10 or 15 points
me: *has a rough outline drafted to the main topics required with 6 sources and a clear idea on introduction and conclusion in under an hour*
today’s lesson learned is: calling yourself an english major and devoting yourself to learning a new style of writing (academic) pays off in the long run
lmao joined a major class on accident (marketing) and can’t drop it because i need the credits to graduate so i’ve just been putting all my writing skills into the assignments and discussion boards
so far so good at an 87%
biology, however... that one is a bit more tricky
What up!! Your bitch just got a 98% on her Astronomy final exam which means, without a doubt, I passed the class.
One more day of school and then I am DONE, let me get a HALLELUJAH!
Also, also! When presenting our websites in coding I got the loudest claps out of the class, which means I did a great job on my website! Huzzah!
A short survey for my research paper which deals with "writer's block," the change in today's writing and publishing, and how technology effects that writing. Please give it a look and thank you for taking part!
Hey, there! You guys know how I am about writing and my overuse of technology and writer’s block, so guess what I chose to write my research paper about for English Honors? Yup!
Do me a favor and fill out a few questions for me? It’d really help and who knows, maybe it might make you think about your own tech and writing habits!
Thanks in advance, guys!
Allow me, dear followers, to spin you a tale of intrigue and woe! There I sat, math test in front of me and first few answers already filled out. I’m feeling confident as factoring is easy - or at least, I thought. I started struggling on one problem, and then the substitute teacher got up and walked to the door. I paused, concerned as he talked to someone outside the door, and then... Then-
“Alright, make sure your name is on your test, I’m going to collect them now.” The panic in the room was tangible. “The school is closed due to weather.” Outside the windows, once we pulled back the curtain, a blizzard was stirring.
Someone prayed to a being of weather and wind and cold and prayed for a storm to smother the world
TL:DR - Someone prayed to a fucking weather god and it fucking worked
True Millennial life: Proofing and writing an English paper about how technology has destroyed our attention spans and caused us to not be able to focus while constantly losing focus and running to tumblr.
The irony is incredible.
Initiative is emailing your professors of your waitlisted classes and asking if they have any room to squeeze you in. I’m willing to bet I get into 102 English Honors because the teacher knows me and I’m first on the waitlist, but I’m doubtful on Speech where I’m fourth.
Take a page from me, sweetlings, and always make sure you classes say REGISTERED and not just PLANNED.
I ended my college research paper on internet culture and language with a rick roll. I... I don’t know what I’m doing with my life.
