As much as she enjoyed dressing up, Arabella couldn’t help but stand close to the stairs, elevating herself over the rest of the crowd so that she could see any potential threats before they were too far into the event for her to do anything about it. Her mind was on tactics and ensuring that her family was safe, not dancing and having a good time. Her brown eyes glazed actively over the crowd of people, trying to memorize their faces and place them in her mind, when she saw her brother coming towards her with a drink.
She accepted it, smiling at Everan and sipping from the champagne glass and moved so that he could stand next to her. “Look at them... half of them are humans who don’t know a thing, nor do they suspect it... they have no clue that they’re dancing and chatting amongst vampires, werewolves, witches... and now hybrids.” she said, unsure if she pitied them or envied their ignorance.
