Sasuke said something about making food and she pounced on the idea to go take a shower instead of making dinner. Of course she was great at making dinners that both of them could enjoy (why Naruto still refused to have anything she made, she never could figure out. She liked her cooking just fine, and Sasuke seemed to, too) but...that Sasuke would be thoughtful enough to go out of his way to make them both food instead sometimes still made her blush like an academy student any time she thought about it.

That...and she just really wanted to relax in the bath for a while instead of cooking.

By the time she got out, food was probably nearly done. She didn’t bother checking with him, though, because she wanted to surprise him! She’d picked out a dress he’d complimented on her at the store a week before, and even if it wasn’t a special occasion, she could look nice for him when he made the dinner and they could...light candles or something.

But where did she put it?

She wandered through their bedroom, searching for different spots she might have tucked it away, absently toweling herself off...until she realized the boyfriend who should have been cooking stood in the doorway instead. He looked a bit like he’d frozen mid-step, and he just...stared at her.

N-not even at her face.

Her face turned red instantly and she flailed around, accidentally dropping the towel. At first, she’d meant to cover herself. But...he was blushing and--uh.

The appropriate answer was to cover up and shoo him out, but the opportune answer was to seduce him right then and maybe eat food later.

This is Adam Monroe. He’s a dude who will wear a business suit while cutting you down with an actual samurai sword.

He’s somewhere between 400 and 500+ years old (he’ll just lie to you if you ask him what it is) he will regenerate literally from the center of a nuclear bomb if he feels like it, and also doesn’t feel pain (but he’ll convince you he does). His blood will heal you instantly but it’s not like he’ll give it to you for free.

He doesn’t afraid of anything except plot because Heroes plot is absolutely atrocious, and will literally hold a grudge for centuries if it suits him. He also literally has legends about him written, and is hinted to be the ancestor of most of the prominent main characters of the show.

He used to be a mercenary back in some...Edo time or something like that in Japan until a friendly time traveler met him and taught him to use his newfound powers for heroism. This worked out super well for him, and he even found a love interest...right up until his bff time traveler up and stole her and he

didn’t react well. he’s basically a story where the hero broke it. He’s also been around so long that he’s legitimately gotten sick of humanity and wants to start over, too, so. He’s a little bit unstable. You might be too if you watched ten wives die and kept having your allies betray you, though.

He’s just so much fun. He straddles the line between arrogant and confident, he’s manipulative and charismatic, and he’s incredibly smart. He has not squandered his centuries. He was definitely the best part of Heroes after the first half of season one.

I played him in a panfandom game, and he was my first for a panfandom. The hardest part of playing him in a game though is that he will play the long game. the looooooooooooooong game. and he’s not super social if you don’t have something he wants. So, he’s tough to get out there doing things in a game setting.

      Arms wrapped raised and lightly leaned against his shoulders as fingers swirled the hair at the back of his head. She gazed back into onyx eyes as a smile escaped her lips.
