The Studio of Mayonaize.

Mayonaize is a contemporary fine artist specialising in a unique calligraphy script style of lettering.

Since moving to Australia in 2001, graffiti has been a major influence on his eclectic oeuvre, creating a well established profile within the Melbourne street-art scene with a multitude of public works.

His pieces are distinctive for his deliberate handwork and swift, yet precise execution of a complex and elaborate style of monochromatic text.

He lives and works in Melbourne, also working as a highly sought after tattoo artist working out of Tattoo Magic in Fitzroy.

Snapshots - Everfresh Studio - Open day 2015

Due to the popularity of last years open day, Everfresh decided to open it’s doors again for one day only and allow the public to walk through the studio and see the artists and their work up close and personal.

For many people this would be the first time they would get to meet the artists who’s work they had seen all over Collingwood, Fitzroy and destinations around the world.

This was also an opportunity to purchase some of their amazing work at a very reasonable price, so for those of you who were unable to make it down, here are a bunch of photos I managed to take on the day.

Event - Everfresh Studios - Open Studio - Collingwood

When the infamous Everfresh Studios closed suddenly last year we were in shock. The place was a true institution, like a museum, and soooo many good memories were lost, but not forever.

The guys have found a new space, and for the first and only time ever, they would like to invite you this Saturday to check out the new studio.

The studios will be open from 12 to 5 this Saturday and artists Rone, Wonderlust, Tooth, Tom Civil, Mayo and Makatron will all be there to show you around.

As well as the open studio the guys are selling a limited edition sketchbook to raise funds for the new space. There will only be 60 books available on the day (some have sold online already) so its 1st in best dressed.

In this piece Meggs helps move the Melbourne-based Everfresh Crew to a temporary studio for what sounds like an amazing opportunity for the public to see the artists work and view older work in a sort of retrospective. He also finalizes some pieces for his Inner Demons show. I love the music they used in these videos, especially the Office Space-inspired song in this one!
