And last, but not least, a mural by British artist D*Face done some time last year. I love how the lines sort of give the illusion that the figures are actually moving along on the motorcycle.

Another Branded Arts project! I think this piece by Hueman was relatively close to the Nosego piece, like right next to it or just across the street.
Oh my god, doing some research on Hueman I just found out she graduated from UCLA in 2008, just one year before me! Her interest in creating motion on flat surfaces is clearly demonstrated in the long, flowing locks of hair on her subjects in this mural. See more of Hueman’s amazing work here http://www.huemannature.com/.
Jesse and I spotted this crazy creature just across the way from where we parked which is just a turn away from Washington Blvd. Another Branded Arts project, this time by Philadelphia based Nosego who shows at Thinkspace Gallery (Birdman is an LA based street art photographer). See more of Nosego's highly imaginative work at http://www.nosego.com/.
Some details from the Scharf mural
Here is a huge Kenny Scharf mural on the corner of Washington and La Cienega at Davis Bros. Tires. It was completed in 2013 as a Branded Arts project and features a sort of cosmic diagram as well as Scharf's signature crazy colorful swirly creatures. Fun and somewhat mysterious all at the same time!
Now, let's move it on into the streets!
Here is the wallpaper-like mural that Dabs and Myla painted in Thinkspace's restroom. I wish I could hire them to paint a wall in my house!
From top to bottom: The Cannon Bird, The Strong Bird, and The Hula Hooper, acrylic on wood.
There was a series of several of these adorable little hummingbird circus acts that I absolutely loved!
The Princess of Poniards, acrylic on wood.
A poniard is a small, slender dagger. I love dictionary.com!
The Duke Von Duchess, acrylic on wood.
Her High Flying Highness, acrylic on wood.
The Conjoined Countesses, acrylic on wood.
Prince Charmer by Glenn Arthur, oil on wood.
This guy really looks like Freddy Prinze Jr. to me!
Now moving on to the whimsical world of Glenn Arthur…..
From top to bottom: Tipsoo Lake and Tipsoo Lake After, oil on canvas wrapped wood panel.
Tipsoo Lake is located inside of Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state. Looking at actual photos of this place, it looks amazingly beautiful!! Definitely on my list of places to go when I visit Mount Rainier National Park some day.
From top to bottom: China Wall 1, 2, and 3, acrylic, ink, and found photo on wood panel.
There was also a little sort of animated GIF type video that accompanied these pieces where the shipping containers moved through the pathway of the Great Wall of China like a slithering snake.
Nature Preserve, China, Acrylic, ink, found photo on wood panel.
Did you know that China is the largest manufacturing economy in the world as well as the largest exporter of goods in the world? It makes sense to me seeing as so many things that we purchase here in the US are made in China. This massive amount of industrial output is having serious adverse impacts on the country's environment. You can learn more about China's environmental issues at http://matadornetwork.com/change/10-environmental-atrocities-in-china-that-you-didnt-know-about/.
