The specific meme culture that (I think) has spawned on Tumblr due to the Superputinelection hellscape night of Nov. 5th 2020 is so fucking funny to me. Like?? People sit in the shadows and wait until an event happens that’s big enough to be recognizable on the site (The Misha Collins Bill Clinton thing, the Pompeii guy, Prince Phillip coming out of the hospital, the FUCKING SUEZ CANAL) and then meme the hell out of it and then for some godforsaken reason it ends up being how people find out about said things? Its so goddamn funny, we’re all just trying to feel that high again.
