But it's not abt bae Percy rn.) Peeta Mellark is THE book boyfriend. That boy lived and breathed FOR Katniss Everdeen. He put her before himself EVERY SINGLE TIME. He was tortured for her. Even with altered memories he went to district 12. And planted primroses for her deceased sister. He volunteered for her even when he could've lived and been with his family. This boy was brainwashed and the first thing he asked was about Katniss. Who he 'hates'. He has loved her since he was 5 years old. FIVE YEARS OLD. Everyone could see it. Everyone but them could see how much they loved each other. The way they'd START a war for each other. They're the IT couple. He's the NO. 1 book boyfriend. And she's the NO.1 book girlfriend. IDC IDC IDC IDC.

The moment that foreshadowed their toastin happened in chapter 2! In chapter 2, Suzanne Collins told us, Katniss and Peeta will end up together. It was THEM always from the beginning.

They belong together even though at first one would not think so. They make each other better.
I can’t do justice to why I love them but here’s a few.
My boy Peeta. I’m a sucker <specifically> for boys falling madly in love. Peeta is generous, selfless and sensitive. I loves his determination to maintain who he is, his refusal to become a piece in the Capitol and how he can speak to people so easily. He is the best.
As for Katniss. I relate to Katniss for not being romantic and hard to let her guard down, specially when it comes to matters of the heart. She is fearless, brave, smart. She loves fiercely. I love her deep loyalty, her compassionate heart and her realistic mind.

I am fine if you don’t like CANON, that means that piece of media isn’t for you. When I don’t like CANON I just stay away of that piece of fiction… but trying to twist narrative to fit what you think that piece of media should be, infuriates me.
