Got caught up on Uncanny X-Men and I'm SO SO SO loving the fact Kurts clothing takes in account the tail this is peak
I don't think we get that much of him from the back outside of his costume usually and with a coherent tail placement too? hell yeah!
Question for ao3 writers everywhere. Do you want people to comment why they liked your fic and their thoughts. Like letterboxd style. Or do you like the vague âI loveâ âthis gave me lifeâ âIâm sobbing, next chapter when?â work fine?

Itâs up for me
The world is on fire. Youâve become the fire. What now?
things we know about Katniss and Peetaâs children:
- their father wanted them badly (they will never have to feel, as he did, like a waste of space)
- their mother has had a primal fear of losing them ever since they first stirred inside her (and before she even conceived them, letâs be honest)
- but ⌠they bring her fear-conquering joy
- they dance
- they seem to have a good relationship themselves, given how the boy traipses after his sister
- they play in the Meadow where so much tragedy happened, their existence a punctuation of hope literally atop a graveyard
- they are well-fed (chubby!!!)
- they donât know the atrocities that came before them, but their parents are proactively planning to teach them in a way that will make them brave
- their mother is also proactively planning to teach them about her trauma management mechanisms, working to break the cycle of generational trauma she was subjected to, while teaching them about the goodness of humanity that can sometimes be hard to note and appreciate
- their privacy is crucial to their mother (at least, I think thatâs why we never get their names)
- their physical features represent the breaking down of class divisions within a once segregated district
- they take for granted being safe and warm and loved because their parents keep them safe and warm and loved (Katnissâs dream came true: Peetaâs children ARE safe)
*** by the way: I donât understand how people can even suggest Katniss doesnât love her children after reading that the babies take Rueâs lullaby for granted ⌠you take something for granted because youâve always had it! just read the lyrics of that song!
- and, as Peeta says, theyâre going to be okay, because they all have each other (and the book)
quick everlark, because I canât get enough of them
Yes, Peterâs actually stupid howâd u know
Hello marvel? Yeah bring back his sky cycle
Characters More People Who Write About Tim Should Know About
Dana Drake (formerly Winters) - Tim's step-mom. Because Janet actually died right *before* Tim became Robin officially. Was Jack's physical therapist. In her 20's, so...that's a thing. Tim never calls her "mom", but he considers her family. To be real, Tim and Jack's relationship, which was already complicatedly rocky, would have been worse without her, Bless.
Helena Bertinelli - Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I see Helena more than I see Dana, I might have put my girl Helena at number 1. Tim's second sibling (after Dick). People too frequently forget their relationship because unlike him being brothers with Dick, it wasn't "verified" or whatever by Tim's adoption, since Helena isn't part of that family, but he *actively calls her his sister*, and they do have a close sibling-like relationship. I once saw someone call fanart of them together a reference to a particular fic even though it wasn't because they just had zero awareness of how canon that relationship was and I almost died on the spot.
Ted Kord - Similarly sad amounts of people don't think Tim has an older-generation hero outside of Gotham-adjacent he particularly admires that he met with during his time as Robin. Ted Kord's Blue Beetle erasure. You're killing me.
Members of Young Justice outside the Core 4 and sometimes Cissie - At the very least know who Greta Hayes (Secret) and Anita Fite (Empress) are, I'm begging you. Also note they didn't know Greta's name for a good long while, because she didn't remember it. They called her "Suzie" for a while as a stand-in. Also if you are using Core 4 as friends in a civilian situation, *always* include Cissie. She is not a Lesser Friend in that situation, she's just Retired. ALSO SUPER-CYCLE. Find out about Super-cycle. Tim had a special bond with Super-cycle.
Any number of Tim's civilian friends - Sebastian Ives gets used the most and he *does* earn it, but I still think that's a rather sad percentage of acknowledgement. Other Gotham Heights friends - Hudson, Hudman, Callie Evans. Ariana Dzerchenko was his first girlfriend - and apparently you can *currently* list them as friends - she's come up in a comic less than a year old. Brentwood Academy had Buzz Cohen, Kip Kettering. Danny Temple who was also friends with him as Robin - *actually knew his ID*. Star is older and didn't go to school with him but she *taught him how to skateboard*. Louis E Grieve is better known now that he's dating Bernard Dowd, but for reference Darla Aquista is the other important name there, who post-res goes by Laura Fell. Gotham City High most important is Zoanne Wilkins, who he also dated, but also Jared Walton is worth a mention, even if he was a dipshit imo lol. Just in general more awareness that Tim had a bunch of friends. He might be a nerd, but he's like, a cool nerd with lots of friends that isn't really in the bullying demographic.
This isn't written to limit your creativity, but rather to expand it. Know About More People, then that gives you more stuff to play with.
Every fucking time Eddie Diaz says âyouâre making this about you,â what he means is âI needed help and I wanted you and you werenât there,â and that makes me FUCKING INSANE
existing in the dc fandom means seeing your fav get heavily mischaracterized & having that fanon mischaracterization become the widely accepted "them" for a large part of the fandom and locals, so much so that when your fav is actually shown being in character it causes controversy
