Waterfall

The water from the waterfall plunged forcefully from above. Marlene had sat down on a nearby rock, her wet hair stuck to her skin, laughing at how Sirius was trying to get too close to the edge.

“You’re going to slip,” she warned him, amused.

“Trust me, I never fall,” he replied, even though his boots were already soaked.

Marlene shook her head, but when Sirius looked at her with a smile that seemed to defy the world, she couldn’t help but feel her heart race . The sound of the water enveloped them, isolating them from the rest of the world.

Sirius leaned in, lowering his voice as if the roar of the waterfall could keep their secret:

“All I want is to be here with you.”

Marlene looked at him, the mist dampening her eyelashes, and in that moment there was no doubt. She moved closer, closing the distance, and their lips met in a simple, wet, and warm kiss that felt like the only possible response to the infinite force of the water

i hc her to have natural black hair and that she didn’t start bleaching it until well into seventh year. i don’t know if she dyes it a lot—but i do think she would’ve tried to dye it with koolaid once
