Side note: I had to cheat and add Alexander to Bella's family because both he and Mortimer wouldn't stop complaining that "it was late" and Alexander "should go home" during the first evening of the trip. As a side effect, I discovered that the "add to family" option on the Tombstone of Life and Death messes up the days left (Alex ended up with 100 days left as a child 🤣).
That evening (after Alexander's attempt to go home), the three of them have dinner together at the hotel.
Mortimer: I'll just have dessert.
Bella: Do you think that's a good example for Alex?
Mortimer: He's smart. He doesn't need examples anymore.
Alexander: Witnessing the deaths of several family members during my early years made me mature more quickly than most children.

Anyway, we hire a butler because the Goths ought to have one.
Butler: Is it alright if I charge you §25 per hour to pick imaginary lint off my clothes for 13 hours a day?
Mortimer: If you could also tend to our ridiculous garden every other day, that would be lovely.
