We all have pet polar bears. Mine's named Fluffy
Send me a stereotype about my country and I will tell you if it applies to me.
Mine's like chihuahua size and has a vocal malfunction where he meows. He's pretty tame and his name is Oscar.

i would definitely say that you should seek a second opinion

If you feel like she blew something important off as irrelevant, then I'd definitely find someone else. Besides, sometimes people have internal issues that affect how they approach this kind of thing, so a second opinion is always great to have.

Second opinion. It didn't occur to her that your social anxiety could be an effect of something like Asperger's, not a separate issue? Sheesh.

Yes. I would most definitely get a second opinion. My brother has Aspergers and for years doctors have been telling my mum that it was just anxiety, he has a lot of the same variants that you have described so yeah, I'd get a second opinion.
Y'all are super nice and I thoroughly appreciate the responses. T_T <3 I've spoken to a family member and gotten some good suggestions for figuring out how to speak to someone else.
That's awesome you got into the health program! I hope it really helps!
I'm excited! But wow, I just realized that I won't be doing any chores or cooking or cleaning or anything the entire time. Gonna be weirddddd.
You are a beautiful, thoughtful, sweet person New. Being sick like this sucks and I'm sorry. I'm sure you're friends will understand, good friends do. They want you to be okay as much as you. Don't feel bad about anything! It's not your fault and they know it too! You'll be okay New.
Most of my friends in real life pretty much ignore the fact that I'm sick, but I do have some great ones that care about me.
Thank you, fellow vagabond.
