          there  was  a  certain  crisp  in  the  air  that  could  only  mean  one  thing:   snow.   kamryn  could  swear  that  she  could  smell  the  incoming  snow  in  the  air.   not  to  mention  that  she  was  here  with  him.   the  two  stood  side  by  side  amongst  the  crowd  of  people  who  were  there  to  watch  the  city  light  up,   not  only  the  tree,   but  the  entire  christmas  market.   “   i  swear  the  lights  have  never  looked  this  pretty  before.   ”   they  look  over  to  spencer.   heart  thudding  against  her  chest  and  she  begged  for  it  slow  down.   it  was  different  tonight.   they  were  both  so  different  now.   “   it’s  like  they  got  their  act  together  this  year  with  me  coming  back.   ”

are you sure you should be drinking this? “yeah, i feel much better now.” leah smiles to reassure him, her cheeks flushed with her usual aliveness that was amiss earlier today. “thanks.” she adds soon after, still not entirely accustomed to this unexpectedly sweeter side of him. maybe he’s not as terrible a person as she once thought. her mind hadn’t painted him as a villain, per se, but this softer, more vulnerable side of him is certainly refreshing — if not somewhat unnerving to witness, like watching someone shed their armour. the music of the party continues blasting in the background, the vibrant beats pulsing through the air, almost loud enough to drown out her overthinking. the laughter and chatter of guests swirl around them, creating a lively backdrop to their intimate moment. “you did well today.” she praises genuinely, her voice sincere and warm, laced with admiration. “i mean it.” / @everseens

LOLA'S NEVER BEEN A REGULAR ANYWHERE, always moving hastily from one place to the other, never enough time to stay for too long. but this past week she's been in and out of the comic book store enough times to have lost count: it had started as a part of a project, an interest in the art in general, and now she can't shake the image of one man out of her mind. « hey, sutter, » she greets brightly as she walks up to the counter, hands resting on top of it when she stills in front of him. « do you know any good restaurants around here that are still open in about 10 minutes, when you close ? you see, i'm trying to ask this really cute guy out tonight ... » she feels she couldn't be more obvious if she wanted to.
