[Quest] Single/Multiplayer Drop Quest Event: Sonia Intrudes! Round 2

The second cycle of Mushroom Series intrusion quests continues with Sonia returning for a second month (2016/06/01 15:00~06/30 23:59). Get the Blue Brocashroom or Sturdy Bamboo Basket you need if you missed any from the last run back in January.

Remember the notes to the second runs:

Base [★4] Sonia card is not available this time by first-clear reward. You can get her from the PuyoPoint Exchange until 2016/09/30 23:59 though (together with Greta, Joze, Hannah and Lillian (new!)).

Single player first-clear reward records are inherited from previous opening, and whatever you have got last time cannot be obtained again.

Multiplayer first-clear reward records are inherited by week from previous opening. e.g. If you got a reward in the first week last time (1/1~7), you cannot get the same reward in the same week this time (6/1~7), and so on.

[Quest] Single/Multiplayer Drop Quest Event: Greta Intrudes! Round 2

Ending the cycle with Lillian, the next month in multiplayer-focused event... returns to Greta Intrudes? For another month (2016/5/1 15:00~5/31 23:59) you can get however many Red Hazeshroom or Old-fashioned Pot you missed from the last run back in December.

Note though the changes to the second run of the event:

Base [★4] Greta card is not available this time by first-clear reward. You can get her from the PuyoPoint Exchange from 2016/5/1 15:00~9/30 23:59 though (together with Sonia, Joze and Hannah).

Single player first-clear reward records are inherited from previous opening, and whatever you have got last time cannot be obtained again.

Multiplayer first-clear reward records are inherited by week from previous opening. e.g. If you got a reward in the first week last time (12/1~7), you cannot get the same reward in the same week this time (5/1~7), and so on.

[Quest] Solo/Multiplayer Drop Quest Event: Limited! Collecting Mushrooms

Did you miss any mushroom and materials from the previous four Intrusion quests, to transform Greta, Sonia, Joze or Hannah? Now you have a chance to tie up loose ends with the return of the four quests with a vengeance, both solo and multiplayer, during the week of 2016/4/4 15:00~4/11 15:00.

In addition to farming for quest drops, you can also get non-RNG-dependent first-clear rewards of mushrooms and key items from your first clears of the different quests. Even if you don’t need the materials anymore, they fuses the same as Crown Puyos, so take that as a chance to snatch some free card experience instead.

[Quest] Solo/Multiplayer Drop Quest Event: Jose Intrudes! (ジョゼ襲来！)

You probably have seen the pattern already, but the month-long multiplayer-focused Intrusion events continues with the green/yellow Jose (ジョゼ) in the month of February 2016 (2016/2/1 15:00~2/29 23:59). Like the previous installments, play in both Solo Quest and Everybody Quest mode for the full event reward!

Get the base [★4] Jose card with your first clear of the event quest (either solo or multiplayer). Exclusive materials [★5] Green Solashroom (ロクヒナタタケ) and [★6] Stew (シチュー) can be obtained by other first clear rewards and/or quest drops. Transform each Stew with five Green Solashroom to obtain [★6] Mushroom Stew (キノコのシチュー) as the final required material variety.

AS Green Solashroom (ロクヒナタタケ) (50) Clear all green and yellow puyos immediately (attack power happens by cleared number) LS Green/Yellow HP Up (緑黄属性体力UP) HP of green and yellow cards increases

[Quest] A Wild Everybody Quest Appears! Finding Stray Open Multiplayer Rooms

Well there is actually only one way: when people don’t get enough actual people for the room, they might post the room numbers publicly for anyone that came across it to join. Finding stray rooms is thus easy: find where people leave those numbers.

Note that in popular “stray room hunting grounds” the room numbers are seen by easily millions and can be snatched as fast as a Black Friday deal. If a post is shown at the top position for more than 1 minute, the room is probably already full or already started the quest. But also note that there might be rooms with open slots that is buried by the fast influx of messages.

Popular places to look:

Twitter is huge in Japan, and of course hundreds if not thousands of room numbers are shared each day. Simply search and race to join rooms among other Twitter hunters. Tip: while most people do use the hashtag #ぷよクエマルチ, search for the word ぷよクエマルチ (= PuyoQuest Multi) and not the hashtag. Click this link for a easy portal to that search query.

Hosted BBSes that is dedicated to post room numbers. This is one of the biggest. This is another of the kind. Some even has handy premade buttons to generate common phrases to form additional notes and requests, so you don’t have to struggle to type the Japanese of e.g. “Red Very Hard 2xxxxx Fisher wanted” in a hurry.

Japanese phrases to note:

Colors:  紫 = Purple / 赤 = Red / 青 = Blue / 緑 = Green / 黄 = Yellow

Party member requirements: 誰でもOK = Anyone is OK 上級者求む = Experts Wanted (if you cannot provide a high-level card of good skill sets or cannot steadily produce 3-chains, please avoid or people will hate you)

Common card series that people want in the party: 漁師 = Fisher (transforms next puyos) 童話 = Fairy Tale (adds trace capacity) まもの = Mythical (make cards deal mass attack) 初代 = OPP (powerful AS)

[PPQ] Multiplay Reopens 2015/10/28 11:00

Remember to update to Ver. 5.1.0 before the grand re-opening!

And for the trouble of all players having to deal with the downtime, all players that ever registered by 2015/10/28 11:00 will receive 10 Magic Stones + 1 Premium Ticket in compensation. The previous compensatory daily log-in bonus will end with the 10/28 gift.

Following the recent multiplay maintenance, the end result is a new version hopefully solving whatever bugging the Everybody Quest mode and then some.

While the update should fix the lag issues with Everybody Quest, the mode will not be immediately re-opened until a later date to be announced. The afterwards arrangement to the 15-day compensatory log-in bonus will also be left to that future announcement.
