Rejoice Up, Out, and In: A Pattern for Everyday Praise

True praise may begin in private, but it doesn’t stay there. It rejoices to be overheard and gladly invites others to join.

I will bless the Lord at all times;      his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord;      let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me,      and let us exalt his name together! (Psalm 34:1–3)

Some Bible passages are helpful not just because of what they tell us but because of how they help us understand what the rest of the Bible tells us. Psalm 34:1–3 does just that. These three short verses provide a framework for understanding how human praise of God works best.

ACCOMPLISHMENT!

When I take yoga classes the instructors often tell us to state our intention for the class,  or for the day.  I want to start doing that during my devotional time with God.  I will state my intention for the day and speak it into the universe and into the ears of God.

My intention for the day is "Accomplishment." 

As a part of my devotional I have started this book called "Everyday Praise" by Vicki J Kuyper, today's reading was about accomplishment so that's what I will do!
